Last Saturday July 23 2016 was announced to be Girls Day.
My mom has been talking about just having a girls day and I agreed to go. I was so hoping that Kim would not be invited. We all know how I feel about her. She didn’t come it was my mom, my sister Chrissy and her daughter Bree who is six. What really sucked though is I have a cold so wasn’t feeling the greatest but I went anyways.
Mom came and picked me up at ten on the Saturday and we drove to Chrissy’s house. I haven’t been to her house in at least three years. The only thing that changed in her house was they painted the wall in the kitchen and got some new rugs. So not a whole lot different but different.
The first thing we did was painting like mom and I did a while ago. But we did the one in Green Bay. It was fun and they had more of a selection at this one and they had coffee. That is a bonus! However I thought one of the ladies who worked there wasn’t as friendly as are the people in the Appleton one.
I did a vase and Chrissy and mom. Vase day I guess. Funny. Except Bree she did an owl.
After the painting we went out to eat at Olive Garden. I haven’t been to an Olive Garden like in ten years. I am not really impress by them. The only thing awesome about Olive Garden is the free bread sticks. When we got to Olive Garden we had to wait forever and that is when I started to feel bad. Since I am sick it was catching up to me. I got really hot and didn’t feel the greatest. That didn’t add to my experience at the Olive Garden.
After lunch Chrissy made appointments for us to get our nails done. Okay me get my nails done. I was worried about that part. I have never done that. Everyone except me wanted to get their toes done. I got my fingernails done. Once inside you can tell everyone has had this done. I am not really a girly girl so I would never pay anyone to do this to me. I rather do it to myself which I do. I like nail polish and doing my own nails.
Also I am sorry but I am so horrible at understanding people who come from different countries and their accents. I don’t mean to be rude and have them repeat themselves several times but I just don’t understand. Even though I have stated before I do think those people are cool that they come here to Wisconsin of all of the states to come to Wisconsin.
Everyone in the nail salon new what was going on. I needed a flow chart on how things work. I was asked several different questions and sorry didn’t understand most of them. I probably looked like an idiot. Oh well. Anyway the woman I had do my nails didn’t talk that much so that is good. I did like the hand massage that felt great. I picked out a purple shiny color.
I don’t think I will do that again.
After that we went to Chrissy’s house and hung out. After an hour or so we saw The Secret Life of Pets. I was unhappy and didn’t find it to be as funny as the trailer made it out to be. It talked strangely of killing owners. It had really dark undertones for a kid’s movie. It’s not worth seeing in the theater.
After the movie we got some frozen pizza and headed back. We spent the night playing games and talking. It was a good Girls Day. I just wish I felt better. Also I had to share the bed with this guy.
Red. Great dog but what a bed hog. Funny! I finally kicked him out and he was here in the morning.
It was a great Girls Day and I would go again if it’s just the same peop
