Life

Saturday we went to hang out with my parents. We ate a new restaurant and had a strange pizza.

It’s bacon cheeseburger pizza with fries on top. Never seen that before however it was good!

My mom also got me this music box. It’s pretty and it plays too ra loo ra loo ral an Irish lullaby.

Sunday I changed my first faucet. It was hard contorting my body to fit under the sink. Our old faucet was so rusty that you couldn’t turn it from one sink to the other. Also they sprayer sprayed you and the counter it was always a mess. This is the old faucet.

New faucet. We love it! By having Jeff having me to do repairs I have to admit I am learning what it takes to do these things. I feel the sense of accomplishment when it’s all finished.

On Sunday night Jeff made steak. Oh I love you steak. It was so good and he made potato wedges.

Let’s try again….this Thursday I am getting my Lasik. I am excited and nervous again. But it will be all good.

Date Day

We had date day yesterday and it was fun!

We went and saw John Wick Chapter 2 movie. It was good but not as good as the first one. Some of the parts were cheesy funny. There is this one scene with the guys in the catacombs with lights. Come on! Some bad guys those guys were. It reminded me of playing a video game on easy. ‘Oh here are some bad, guys can you find them?’ They are shining flash lights at you. Cheesy! Still worth the watch though and yeah open for a third movie.

We thought about going to Badger Sports however didn’t know the kids had either half a day or the day off. We figured it was going to be busy with kids since when we got done with our movie the place was crawling with them.

We decided to go to Mark’s East Side restaurant. Oh wow! I forgot how good their food is! I had a Shepherd’s pie. It was the best I have had ever! Jeff had chop steak with Jack’s bourbon’s glaze and on top was onion rings. I tasted it, it was amazing as well! We also had hot cocoa and hot cider. Mine was peppermint patty and yes it had alcohol in it. Jeff had hot apple pie cider.  I am light weight because after that I was a little drunk. Can tell I am a beer person. Ha!

It was a fun day to get away from the house and spent it with Jeff.

Disappointment

So disappointed! Was excited and nervous to get my eye surgery yesterday. Well I didn’t get it. I have a benefits card and that is something new this year for our insurance and it didn’t go through. Our insurance says we don’t have money in our account which doesn’t make sense because it SHOULD be there. What the hell are we paying for? There is some kind of mess up on our insurance part.

I was angry yesterday and disappointed. It sucked because Jeff took the day off of work and we spent time and money to go there yesterday. To not have anything done. Money because we had to waste gas to get there. I just wanted to get it done and get rid of my glasses.

Now I have to wait. I did make an appointment on March 2 to get it done. So hopefully the insurance thing is all figured out and I can get this done.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day and even though I don’t celebrate let’s face it a lot of people do. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am a getting a little nervous as my eye surgery is this Thursday but still excited to get it. I still can’t believe it’s only going to take 10 minutes! That is crazy to me. I already got all my drops. I have to take four different kinds. At least it’s not nose spray something I really don’t like. Ha!

Last year on Netflix I watched a documentary on bull riding called Fearless. It was how Brazilians got into the sport and focused on just Brazilian riders. I found it to be very interesting. So that spark an interest in bull riding. It’s strange because I have always wanted to go to a rodeo. Just never thought of bull more horse. Now I put that on my list of things I need to see. I would love to go and see some of the favorites. Isn’t that funny! I have favorites.

Right now I have favorite bull riders and I just learn that you can have some favorite bulls. It’s just not the rider it’s the animal as well. I think that is cool! Here are the bull riders I like and really no order: Cody Nance, JB Mauney, Joao Ricardo Vieria and Guilherme Marchi. I think Guilherme Marchi is fun to watch because he is so positive regardless if he wins or loses.

Talking of sports I really can’t wait for NASCAR! Not sure who I am going to root for yet. I am not a huge fan of NASCAR but I do like watching it. I am actually excited to watch.

Life

Jeff is okay! His doctor reviewed all his test results and said he has no cause for concern. I still think he has anxiety. However I think he would do well with some herbal stuff first and see how that goes.

I can’t believe my eye surgery is coming up! Now I feel a little nervous. I had my eye exam and my eyes really dilated. I haven’t had my eyes dilated in a long time and they said that it can last for 24 hours. Well my eyes were dilated for almost three days! It was crazy! They did some test where they take images in the back of my eye and I got to see them. That was cool. Also Dr. Smith was so nice and explained things well. I think why can’t all doctors be like that? The Optivision in Appleton is a lot nicer than the Optivision in Green Bay meaning the facility was nice and the nurse was actually nicer. If I would have known that I would have scheduled all my appointments in Appleton however can only have the surgery in Green Bay. We choose Green Bay because it’s just a little bit closer but would have been worth the extra minutes to go to Appleton. Oh well.

Life

Friday night was scary and I was feeling nervous. Jeff hasn’t been feeling well so we went to Urgent Care which they sent us to the ER. We were there for three hours! Jeff said he felt disconnected and was getting headaches. Also his blood pressure was up and he felt dizzy. There was this nurse Josh that wasn’t very nice in the beginning but by the end he changed his tune.

In my opinion I think all nurses and doctors who work the ER should try at least to be nice. No one wants to be there so why not show some kindness? I wonder if it’s just me sometimes because I am not afraid to call them out on it. I understand it’s your job and everyone has bad days but this is the ER. A little smile or a little kindness goes a long way in the ER.

It’s always a toss up what doctor you are going to have as well. Are you going to have a doctor who actually shows they care or are you going to have a doctor that you are just another patient. Jeff had a doctor in the beginning seemed like he cared but by the end he wasn’t. Jeff has a fear of needles and didn’t want to get his blood taken and get an IV. So he let them take blood but not the IV. That is when the doctor was changing his tune. He acted like Jeff was being a baby. Not true! We all have fears. Why can’t needles be one? Makes no sense to me.

Well after all the waiting and tests found out Jeff may have anxiety. They can’t tell you for certain only your doctor can. Also hes has too many red blood cells in his kidneys. So he has to see his doctor to see what to do now. I hope he will be okay. Been worried now since Friday.

On another note. The Superbowl was on Sunday. I was rooting for the Falcons to win. Looked like they were on their way and…nope. Too bad. Historical NFL events happened in this Superbowl. First Superbowl to go into over time and second Tom Brady has won five Superbowls those are some achievements. Neat! Even though not a fan of either team still cool to witness it.

The halftime show was cool! Not my favorite but still great to see. I was thinking I wouldn’t know any Lady Gaga songs but she did some of her older songs. Wow! She is put on a good show. I liked all the drones and the dancing, the lights were also so cool!

Friends

Strange I was thinking I would have nothing for my last entry of the week. But then again life happens again! Ha!

Something really ironic. I told Helen I am getting Lasik surgery. On that day I told her she said her mom was getting done that day. Ha! Isn’t that so ironic?! In Russia they have it done then they go to a hospital. In America you go and come home. I rather come home and I think anyone would. She is doing great! Which makes me want to get this done even more.

I have told Helen and April I am getting this done. Anyway this astonish me. Helen seems way more concerned of me getting surgery which is understandable she was really worried when I got my carpel tunnel surgery done. However she seems more worried then April. I understand many people get it done and it’s no big deal however any surgery can be risky.

Seems like Helen and I are the same in concern. I get worried about April and even put in my calendar when she is getting medical stuff done. But then when I had my carpel tunnel surgery the day April sent me a text wasn’t expecting that. Even when I got my teeth done I got one from her. So maybe I will get a text. Just strange if you never had it done you want to more details about it. Since Helen’s mom had it done and they are close I am sure they shared details about it.

Just seemed strange you know?! Anyway Monday I get my eye exam and my eyes dilated. I can’t remember the last time I had my eyes dilated.
