I did it well…Jeff did it. He dyed my hair purple. Semi-permanent I used Arctic Fox Purple Rain. I haven’t wash it yet. It will be next week since I only wash my hair once a week.

I am curious how it will fade out. If it goes well, I would like to try a different color. I do miss having darker hair. I think that’s why I love this purple.

Before dying it for about three days. I used a conditioner hair mask. I got it at Walmart it was called Cry baby. OMG! Made my hair really soft. Then I washed my hair and that same day dyed it purple. By using the mask beforehand made my hair really soft even after dying it. Also, this color of Arctic Fox smelled like grapes. It smelled amazing for a couple of days.

Sometimes when I sleep I get sweaty. It’s been hot here this week for some reason. Thought it was fall. Funny! Anyways the dye didn’t come out anywhere like some other dyes I have used in my life. I am impress with Arctic Fox.

Cross Stitch Mania

I have been cross stitching so much! I am in that kind of mood again to do more cross stitching. The one I am most proud of is the one I made for Adam for Christmas.

I know Adam’s favorite scary movies is Jason. I think it turned out great!

Jeff wanted this one so I did it. He picked out the colors. LOL! I do love this one.

I just finished this one. I thought it was so cute! I had to do this. Dino Christmas and he’s blue like my favorite color.

This one just makes me happy when looking at it. The pattern calls for white Aida but I thought the black would make it stand out more. I changed the coloring on the pattern too, to rainbow. I think it turned out great!

This is the first one I started with. I think the pic doesn’t do it justice but it’s a pumpkin candle.

Last weekend we did pumpkins. Of course, Jeff did an amazing job. Mine well…..not so much. Lol! One of the pumpkins looks odd. I tried to fix it but it didn’t turn out too well.

I did the ones on the left. Jeff did the ones on the right. The first and third pumpkins I did, I got from my Uncle’s farm. They gave the best seeds!

Tex was so interesting in us carving pumpkins. It was funny to see him be so serious watching us. Lol!

Not a whole lot going on this week. This weekend is errand extravaganza! Going to see my parents and pick up two pumpkins my dad got from his brother’s farm. I am going to pick up some pumpkins so we can carve them this weekend. Then all that life errands like the grocery store and get some pellets for heat. I hate the pellets part they are heavy bags.

I can’t wait to see my mom I haven’t seen her since having surgery. It’s been very bad in our town with Covid. It’s like the disease is closing in here. We try to be safe as possible so maybe we won’t get it.

I think doing pumpkins will help keep my mind off it for a little while at least.

Scary: My mom went to the ER for chest and back pain. The first thing that comes to mind is a heart attack. After they did tests found out that her gallbladder was bad. She had to stay at the hospital for the night and the next day had surgery to take out her gallbladder. After that another night in the hospital and another surgery to take out 100 gallbladder stones! CRAZY!

After surgery and being home she is happy. I was surprised and back to normal. She said it was scary but now she is good. She is a silly woman. She has to go back in November to take out the stent. I am glad she is okay.

This week I had my yearly physical. I really didn’t want to go. Well I never want to go to the doctor but this year I really, really didn’t want to go. Because my town has grown so much in Covid cases like crazy in the last month.

Here is something super dumb. At the doctor’s they have an area blocked off for Covid. However to get to the waiting room to see the regular doctor have to walk in the area where potential people have Covid. How dumb is that?! Ugh my town is dumb a lot of times.

At the doctor I am normal. I say I am not. Lol! Anyways all my levels for everything is good. I am in a good health.

Hair

I did it! I changed my hair color. It was a lot of research to do it and I have to say I am happy with it.

Here is the process I did and it worked for me. First of all my hair was really healthy so that helped. Before starting the process it actually started a whole 7 days before doing anything. I didn’t wash my hair for a whole week. Then I combed my hair. After that I slept with a pure coconut hair mask the night before. I have to say that really sucked. Sleeping in a shower cap AND the coconut oil kept running down the back of my neck and back. Probably kept the mask on for about 10 hours. I got up and had coffee and didn’t do my hair right away. So yeah I think about 10 hours of coconut oil mask for my hair.

I didn’t wash it out. We bleached with the oil in. Was it messy…hell yes! Jeff was my hairdresser and I have to say he did a good job. I got Clairol professional white 30 developer and L’Oreal quick blue bleach. This was enough to do two times. I bought these items on Amazon.

I left the bleach in for an hour. Bleach eats everything and it did it’s job. But since my hair was dark to begin with it left my hair on the bit of the orange side but I knew I would need more than one bleaching. I also checked my hair after we did the first bleaching by stretching and it was still intact. Not super stretchy so I knew from my research I COULD do another bleaching.

I waited some days to give my hair a bit of breather before bleaching it again. I didn’t do coconut oil again. But I have to say by doing the coconut oil the first time the bleach didn’t burn me. I was surprised because I thought it would burn but having the oil helped that. Also my hair was soft! Soft after bleaching?! Crazy!

The second bleaching after washing my got stretchy and that means stop! So I did. I have to say my ends of my hair got dry but it’s not too bad. After the second bleaching, I did another coconut oil mask for an hour. That helped the dryness.

After the second time of bleaching my hair was yellow not so much orange. I wasn’t sure if I was going to tone it or not since I didn’t think the color was too bad. Then I decided to tone it after all. I am glad I did. I like this color of my hair.

I did, however, damage some of my hair. I knew it was going to do anyway. It was worth it to me. I decided I am going to see what I can do with my hair by myself. I have been doing a lot of research on many things I can do for my hair to bring it back. Not all the way healthy like it was but things I can do to help it. I am also thinking I may do some semi-permanent colors. I want to have fun with my hair.

Usually I am on top of writing but lately I haven’t. I’ll try to be better at that.

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband. Tuesday we have been married 13 years! I can’t believe it already!

So cute! Jeff was surprised and he loved them.

He said he felt guilty he didn’t get me anything. I told him he gets me lots of things throughout the year. I just wanted to make him something.

It’s like collecting books but their video games. Yay! I got two new video games. I got Everybody has gone to Rapture and The Order 1886. The Order is a game I have wanted since it came out however it has terrible reviews. Even though the game is so gorgeous the run time is very low. For that I wasn’t willing to pay the 60 dollars back then. But a couple of days ago it came out for 5 dollars! Now that literally is a steal.

This weekened I am going to do girls weekend. Not sure what that entails this year. But I do get to see Bree and my sister Chrissy is always good.

My mom had to have surgery on her side. May years ago she had to have a shut put in the back of her head to the side of her. A piece broke off and she was in terrible pain. She said she is doing good.

We had drastic change of weather. First it was hot and now all of sudden it’s cold. Know what that means winter is coming. At this point in the year I am like whatever.

Video Games

It’s a video game extravaganza! The world has gone mad and I don’t want to be out in it. What’s the best way to past time VIDEO GAMES! I have gotten so many video games this year, it’s awesome!

I have gotten: Detroit become human, Beyond two souls, State of mind, Valley, Wolfenstein old blood, Metro Exodus, and a DLC, Layers of Fear, Guns gore and cannoli and Guns gore and cannoli 2.

Guns gore and cannoli and it’s a sequel is a local co-op. I have been trying to find games that Jeff and I can play for a long time. This one is FUN! I have seen the local co-op games geared for kids. So I was happy when I found this. When they say gore they mean it! We are playing the first one right now.

Today I will be getting Tony Hawk 1 & 2. I can’t wait to play it. Oh man, I remember playing them all except for 5. I skipped that Tony Hawk game. When Adam comes for a visit. I can’t wait to play with him. They say this game also has local co-op.

Truly a video game extravaganza! I even still have some games I bought last year that I haven’t play thoroughly yet. I also want The Last of us part 2 for Christmas. So I will be busy this winter.

Early August PlayStation store was having a sale. I love sales! So I got two games and a DLC.

I really wanted Detroit Become Human. They had such a good deal get three games for the price of one. It was Detroit Become Human, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. I have played all Quantic Dream games expect for Fahrenheit.

I didn’t want to play Heavy Rain again. Getting Beyond: Two souls was a bonus.

Let’s start with Beyond: Two Souls.

Spoiler alert!

Can tell this was a console ago. The graphics feel a bit of the PS3 and the dreaded fixed camera angles. I hate them! Moving the camera was a pain when it could be moved. I have to say I didn’t really like this game. I would not play again which it’s a choices game. Every time played can pick different choices that influence the story. I just can’t play this again.

It had this stupid fight game mechanic which I hated so much. Jodie got beat up a lot because of it. I couldn’t the hang of moving the stick in directions of her. It was bad.

I didn’t understand the first mission and its point. Also, Aiden is Jodie’s twin that wasn’t born alive. How did his world have monsters in it and how did they get in Jodie’s world? Why did they attack her only? Just some of that doesn’t make any sense. A typical Quantic Dream game. Doesn’t make any sense some of the story. Another thing that doesn’t make any sense is the character, Ryan. Why is he a love interest? He is an asshole! And the story shoves this character in Jodie’s face. I guess every story has to have an asshole. I also made him lose his eye. (Insert evil laugh here).

I played the last chapter twice because of the two choices. Then the epilogue a bunch of times to see all of the four choices when life is chosen. Wasn’t really all that impressed with the endings but this is a Quantic Dream game. Can tell where they came from and to see if they figured out how to do endings better.

Detroit Become Human

Living in the future and now there are androids. I got to play three characters in order of my favorite: Connor, Markus and Kara.

I have to say I didn’t like playing Kara because she has to take care of a child android which I figured out almost immediately but the game “tries” to hide it that she is android. I learned that Markus and Kara can die. Connor can die too but he comes back. Once I knew I can kill off characters, I killed off Kara many times. Hahahaha!

I like Connor because he is a detective. He has to work with a human detective. That’s pretty cool. Markus is a freedom leader and Connor’s and Markus’s fate intertwines with each other which is great. I don’t understand why there has to be Kara?

I have to mention there are some AWKWARD conversations in this game. Connor has two of them and Kara has one. Connor has a conversation with a cop while investigating what Markus did at this TV station. If of course, he saved from the first chapter. It’s really strange how Connor acts during this scene. The second conversation he has with his partner Hank while Hank is eating. Nothing that is picked makes this conversation any better. Kara and Rose’s conversation is strange! Same no matter choice it doesn’t flow right.

There is this one chapter with Markus that gives me bad motion sickness. It’s the chapter where he puts himself back together. I have to turn off the sound because it makes it worse. Every time I play it, I try to do it quickly before it makes me sick.

One more thing is the first chapters of Markus and Kara are super boring but has to be played because of Connor’s first chapter choices. I literally play games on my Ipad when doing these super boring chapters with Kara and Markus. I don’t understand why video games makes us to chores. I don’t even like doing chores in real life. Why would like doing them in a game?

This game has so MANY endings. More so then any other game I have ever played with many endings. I loved it. This is worth the money even without the other two games attached to it.

I hope that Quantic Dream can continue making more games like this one but work on the conversations.

Metro Exodus

I have read all the Metro books and liked them. So I have to play the games!

This game gives me motion like no other video I have ever played. I don’t know what it is either. I have tried all kinds of settings in the game but I still get motion sickness from this game.

So I can only play this game a little each time. Which sucks. It’s still a good game. Not done with it but I hope it’s close to the books. So far the games I did play are close enough to the books.
