Happy New Year!

It’s another year and I made it! I am still here. Yay!

This year I am continuing to lose more weight. I hope one day I will be like I am good but for now more losing.

On January first we went to my sister’s house. We laughed about how Corey wasn’t coming to this party either. Jeff said something funny. He said “Kim posted something super funny on FB. She said said maybe to the party.” Lol oh Jeff!

The party was for the other side of the family. My mom’s side who we don’t see all that often. There is a reason for that. My aunt Terry was in town she now lives in Texas. That is the reason why we went even though I really didn’t want too. The reason we don’t see that side is because they are not fun to be around. They are judgy but they are strange. They give me a strange feeling.

At the party I felt super awkward! First my Aunt Terry who haven’t seen in years, sort of judged me. She asked where I worked. Yup that look I love so much came into play. Of course being sarcastic. I hurried and used my super power of changing the subject to her and kept her talking about herself.  All their kids came and I haven’t seen them since they were little kids. Now they are all grown up and one of them is engaged. When they all started to come in they weren’t very nice. They acted like the rest of us didn’t exist. They all gathered at a table and talked with each other. That to me is snobbish. And my mom wonders why I don’t like her side of the family. Also my aunts and uncles only some of them talked to us. I should say me because Jeff and Andy were gabbing about computers the whole time. Even when I wanted to leave Jeff wanted to stay and talk to Andy. Even though for a week he has been complaining about going to this party. I couldn’t wait to leave, I kept checking my watch. I said we are staying for two hours so we stayed for two hours.

On December 29 Jeff and I went to see my cousin Alice and her family. I decided we should go over to her mom’s house this time for one reason because I know that my Aunt Sue loves to see us. So this way we can see my Aunt and Uncle plus Alice and family. It was a good visit. We had pizza and it was good. Alice bought a house so we got to see pics of it. It’s a nice house but wow couldn’t believe how much they paid for it. Their house in Wisconsin would be less then a hundred thousand dollars. But in Utah it was over two hundred thousand dollars. So crazy!

Alice’s kids were being funny however her little girl Zarah was being super cute! She is one now and she can walk but she doesn’t talk yet. Just makes a lot of noise. She LOVED Jeff. OMG! It was soooooo cute! She learned how to fist bump and she wanted to fist bump Jeff more than anyone. Lol! Then she brought him her toys. Then when we were leaving she wanted to give Jeff the most hugs and kisses. It was so cute and funny!

After seeing Alice we went over to hangout with Adam. That was a whole other drama which one I thought was funny because I just knew how it was going to go. I just didn’t know how Adam would take it though. So at Christmas Kim says to Adam “Hey if you extend your trip till Friday. We all should hangout.” Adam got his ticket changed till leaving on Saturday so we all could hang out. Adam sends out a mass text to all the siblings that he wants us to come over to the parents house to hangout. It worked out because we had plans to be in Green Bay to have dinner with my parents. Which that changed because we all were going to hangout at their house and they decided to go to a concert with some friends.

Chrissy and I text back that, that will be awesome. We didn’t see Corey text back. I just knew, knowing Corey that he wasn’t coming. We all know how I feel about him and his wife. So if he came didn’t come, I didn’t really care. Jeff and I knew that he wasn’t coming. However Adam didn’t know that Corey rarely comes to anything so this made him mad when Corey texted that he couldn’t make it. Of course I was like ‘duh’. Wow Adam told him off and that is why this was funny. Just how much he gave it to Corey because Chrissy and I never say anything to him about this but Adam told him off. What I didn’t know is that this was Kim’s idea. My dad told me that, then Adam confirmed it.

Chrissy got so drunk and she is a silly drunk. We played Bang! And she was just being so funny! After that we told stories and just having a great time. So much laughing and it was great to see Adam again. Wasn’t sure if we would see him before he left. So this was perfect! I can’t wait till Adam sees Corey again it’s going to go down. Lol!

Merry Christmas

There are some things I didn’t like. I didn’t like we didn’t pray before our meal. I know not everyone believes in God but we ALWAYS pray before the Christmas meal. Also felt a bit rushed as well. We usually sit around the table and we all eat but not this year. The kids sat elsewhere being brats of course and us at the table. So that part sucked.

After the meal Santa came and then it was a mad house! All the kids tearing into their presents. Not saying thank you or saying who they were from, like always. The kids didn’t get the bears I made had gift cards in them. Thought that was stupid. They took the gifts cards out and said “what’s this?” Ugh. That was dumb. We didn’t get a thank you either. At this point it is what it is. But I think it’s rude that they don’t.

After that, that is when it got silly. My sister drank too much I think. She was getting louder and she was funny! We stayed for a long time with them.

 

Christmas Day we went over to my cousin’s house. It’s always a bit awkward when we go. Because it’s in his basement and his basement isn’t that big. It’s always jammed packed full of people that we don’t know. We only stay for a couple of hours. I think next year we are not going to go. We got to see my brother’s girlfriend Kaela. But I don’t understand why we can’t see her later.

Hair

Oh I almost forgot to blog about my hair. I can’t believe I forgot so I will blog about it now. On December 15 I got my hair done by Miss Lori. I spent four hours there! I wanted something different then a hair cut and color. I wanted to get highlights. I haven’t had highlights in forever. It was fun time talking with Lori and all the people there, they are a bunch of silly people. So I always have a good laugh with the people there.

I didn’t realize how much my hair has grown since I saw her last which was earlier this year. It’s getting long and I am happy about that. I have been growing my hair for two years. I told Lori I wanted purple and she gave the look then said no. Lol! That is her. She told me it wouldn’t have lasted and I do want something to last. So we went with four different reds mixed together and I am quite happy about it.

Instead of traditional highlights. She started the highlights further down my head and then all over. She said it was the galaxy sweep. Okay whatever that is I like it. I can’t see Lori all the time so when my whites come in I can use a touch up color to cover them but still have my highlights. It’s so cool!

On December 16, we did popcorn balls. It was fun! Maybe it’s because I am getting older. But I wanted event with the family where it’s in a fun environment and it was. Everyone was laughing and having a great time.

Went to April’s house on Friday. She was supposed to go to a horse show but she broke her finger. She really broke her finger! It’s broke beyond the knuckle and she hurt her tendons as well. She has to go to six weeks of therapy. It’s her first finger on her left hand and it’s all bruised still after two weeks of doing this. I feel for her.

It was very fun hanging out with April. We ate lunch at a bowling alley. It was actually really good food. Who knew a bowling alley would have good food?! Then we headed to the coffee shop. April had an apple cider and I had an eggnog latte. It was okay. Not enough eggnog. After that we went to Walmart and I spotted this ridiculous sweater!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Funny thing is Jeff thought it was awesome! How would anyone wash this if they got stuff on it? LOL!

After Walmart we went back to her place to decorate her tree. This tree screams April!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Every branch has an ornament on it. Just like April to have a lot of stuff. Lol!

Cool and awe it’s Koko!

April has been getting into Yule. So we made God’s eyes and Pomanders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The God’s eyes were sort of hard to make. We had no sticks so we used straws. The Pomanders are oranges with cloves in them. Supposed to rub cinnamon on them but it made a huge mess. April and I only made one each with cinnamon and left the other ones.

The next day we had breakfast and more coffee.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Look how pretty! I had Xmas cookie and it had sprinkles! I don’t know why I like sprinkles. We had lots of fun together.

I also want to add this. My mom has been working on an ornament. I was with her when she bought a cross stitch book full of patterns for Christmas. I got to see her progress of making this ornament and she made a bag for it too. I helped her pick out the material for the bag as well.  It’s cool to see the end result.

Remember last year I saw the most stupidest doctor ever?! Well I actually found a good doctor this year! He didn’t make feel nervous and didn’t ask stupid questions that are already in my chart. He was laid back and actually a funny guy. Made me feel comfortable at the doctor’s office which I never feel comfortable there. The reason is never know what they are going to say and I had to get blood drawn today. That always makes me nervous because usually have the nurse who can’t take blood for some reason. But the nurse today was great. 

Now I have a dilemma. It’s so hard to find a good doctor. I was going to switch next year but now I found a good doctor. So do I switch or stay? Ugh the problem is finding another doctor that I like in a different system. Or stay with this doctor. I’ll have to think about it, as I don’t really like Theda Care all that much but got a good doctor. Decisions, decisions.

I got Dead Rising 4 for PS4! Omg! It’s so fun! Been losing sleep because all I want to do is play. HA! I like that they made the lead character Frank not a fat old man. He has been working out since the first one. Hahahaha! The graphics are great and I like that they didn’t make the maniacs as hard as all the other games. It’s a lot of running in circles though to kill them but I can handle that. Combing weapons are actually easier in this game as well. Don’t have to hold as many items to combine.

However I did have a glitch happen twice to me now. My character gets stuck. He doesn’t pick up weapons or open anything, also he won’t fight back for a bit of time till zombies or someone comes and hits him a few times. Not sure what’s that is all about. I figure that is what I get for playing a game that just came out. I am sure it will get updates.

This is the game I have been waiting for since I got the PS4. It was well worth the wait!

We have no snow! It’s so crazy! By now we would have snow. In fact today we have rain and thunderstorms. Our weather is so very strange right now.

I thought for sure I wouldn’t make anything for Christmas but I ended up making things for Christmas. Since this year is a gift card Christmas, I saw these cute bears on YouTube to knit. So I knitted these gift card bears for everyone.

On Tuesday November 28 I was tasked to take my mom to another appointment. Which is fine you know the thing I hate is all that driving I have to do. Also I live 45 minutes away to pick up mom then drive almost an hour to her appointment. That the part that I hate also I dislike driving in general so it’s a lot of driving.

Anyway I drove there and picked up mom then headed to Appleton early. Mom was not a happy person because insurance was being dumb. They called her and said that they will not take her insurance for the scooter that she has been using. I hate insurance we all need it but they love to give you the run around AND make your life just a little bit more hell. So we headed out early to return the scooter however after mom called she was like “Screw it, I am keeping it.” Ha! She can be funny. We did eventually go to another store in Appleton but told her flat out there is a very high chance that she won’t be getting a scooter from them. At least she was honest about it.

Mom and I had two coffees! I had a major caffeine crash later because of it. My own fault. First we went to Copper Rock and oh it was yummy! Mom and I ate there too. We both had a bowl of chili and coffee. I haven’t been to a Copper Rock in forever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love that they can do this!

Mom wanted to get something for my friend Helen so while we were out we went to Starbucks. Oh my friend is going to like what my mom picked out! That is where we had our second cup of coffee. It sucked! I have been told that I am strange that I don’t like Starbucks and that is the reason why. Copper Rock the coffee was great! Starbucks made me feel like they just added some hot water to our mochas. And it cost more there too. I will go to Starbucks if I don’t have an option for coffee however I would take anywhere else than Starbucks to drink fancy coffee.

We went to a lot of places on Tuesday it practically took all day but I did have fun! Except I had to drive home in the dark which I think that is the worst. I even turned down dinner. ME! Turned down free dinner to go home. That is crazy of me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was different. First there were no kids at my Aunt’s house which is a first in a really long time. When Jeff and I got there it was a line of hugs which is nice. Then everyone was asking me if my parents were coming. I was teasing and saying they weren’t but they were. My Aunt later told me which by this time my parents still haven’t arrived that my mom got upset a couple of days before and told her she wasn’t coming. I didn’t know that and I was joking before. Finally my parents arrived and my mom was in good spirits. After that we usually pray but this time we prayed in a circle holding hands. I thought it to be a bit strange but whatever. Then we ate and there was actually enough food this time.

While sitting around chatting with everyone my cousin Julie who I totally like. Asked if I was coming along? I had no idea where I was going but Jeff and I decided to go just like that. I really do believe if Julie wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have gone to where ever we were going. She is so nice! Always including everyone unlike some of my other cousins. We were going to see my cousin Jack whom I have never met before in my life, who is my third cousin. He just built a brand new house and we were going to go see it.

It was a nice house! Wow! Could tell they spent a lot of money on it.

However my cousin Jack is really full of himself. He couldn’t stop bragging about this or that. Which it’s his new house, and we get that but just the way he was talking about it was way over the top. Also I thought this was rude. He handed out these little containers of spices that he had made to everyone except Jeff and I. He could have easily put in a baggie and gave us some. Then he went on and on about this spice he made. I thought that was really rude and I would have never done that. I would feel guilty that not everyone got some.

After that we back to my Aunt’s house to play the annual poker. I brought about $10 of coins to play. OH man! Between Jeff and I we lost about that. However it was so fun to play with everyone and that is what’s important.

It was a good Thanksgiving.

The next day Jeff and I had our Thanksgiving and watch our Thanksgiving movie which is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. We love that movie!
