Life

I had so much fun on Tuesday. April came over and we went to see Beauty and the Beast. Jeff went too but saw Kong Skull Island. I couldn’t believe it the theater was packed and this is Tuesday in the morning. That was crazy to me. Even though our theater was mostly children, we didn’t hear any crying or whining. Which is good but also unbelievable!

The movie was awesome! Except for two things: One I thought the beast had funny lips. Two there is a hole in the story however this hole is also in the original animated Disney movie as well. Wish they would have fixed it. So beast has to save Belle from the wolves and he gets hurt however when the beast lets Belle go, she still has to go through the forest, no wolves chase her. So…where did they go? Sort of funny if you think about it. Anyway great movie! Loved all the singing and dancing, very entertaining.

Jeff said his movie was a great action movie. Now I do have to see that movie.

We actually saw three movies that day. We all saw Sing! With all the hype that movie had, I wasn’t impressed with it. Jeff liked it. We all liked the music but I don’t know I was expecting something more. Then April and I watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This movie was awful! It had no plot to almost an hour into it. I was also expecting more from this movie. No matter what J.K. Rowling produces nothing can measure up to Harry Potter.

However the main character actor Eddie Redmayne he could be the next Doctor Who. Since he needs to regenerate make him the Doctor. He would be perfect!

April coming over was to celebrate many things. Christmas, birthdays and her being cancer free!

We made her a blue cake.

I finally finished it! My dream map which I didn’t know that what a thing. Ha! Helen told me it is popular in Russia so we both made one. Here is mine:

Since we do not have a color printer. I printed and colored them, that took awhile to do.

Helen’s sent me an awesome birthday presents!

In the bag are awesome towels and I got a wooden comb. So cool!

April got me two awesome games! I can’t wait to play them.

Time to geek out about sports! Me?! That isn’t me. Ha! Ooo! I saw on my Facebook feed and had to get it!

I decided he is my favorite bull rider. I wish there was more of his story in it but still very good!

Life

I had a great birthday! On Thursday Jeff took me to the Meyer Theater in Green Bay to see Tom Segura. He is a comedian we found on Netflix. So funny! I was hoping he wouldn’t do the same jokes he does in his specials and he didn’t! Like every comedian most of it was funny but not all. You could tell who you liked the show and who didn’t. The man sitting behind us didn’t laugh but his date did. It was funny.

On Friday I did nothing! It was great! I saw this dessert on YouTube and decided that is what I wanted for my bday. It was chocolate chip churros.

Jeff did a great job and it was a lot of work. So I feel a little bad that I didn’t like them. However:

I loved this! On birthdays get to choose a favorite movie. I chose the Godfather.

Funny I was telling Jeff when I was younger I used to rent the Godfather and this was before DVD’s. It came in three VHS tapes. On top of that I used to rent the Godfather part 2 and that was also three VHS tapes. Funny how technology goes. I was also saying that the Godfather and Grease are the two movies I have seen the most in my life. Has to be in the hundreds by now. Just thinking how long the first and second Godfather’s are is a lot of hours in my life. I could never make it through the Godfather part 3.

Later on Friday my parents called me. It was cool because they had Drew, Bree and they all sang Happy Birthday to me. It was neat!

Tomorrow April is coming over! I can’t wait! We haven’t seen each other since last year and not even for Christmas. We are going to see Beauty and the Beast movie. It’s going to be a lot of fun and she is sleeping over.

Happy Birthday!

It’s here again!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Happy Birthday to me! I am thirty four years old today!

I don’t feel thirty four in fact I didn’t even feel like I was thirty three. That’s okay. Funny sometimes I forget how old I am.  Hears to another year on the planet. I made it!

Monday I will share some pics and the things I did for my birthday. Also I can’t wait till March twenty first! April and I are going to see Beauty and the Beast for my birthday. It will be fun!

Athletes

I hold athletes in a different standard then I do regular people and with good reason. We see them and see how they act. That is one really good reason why I like Aaron Rodgers. He is a good athlete however he knows how to act on camera.

We all get mad and instead of fists, I would think it would be acceptable to let some swears go. Maybe get in someone’s face but never hit or get into a fight.

The reason I was thinking this is yes I like NASCAR now. Ha! I am a newbie but I do love watching it. If anyone saw the race yesterday, they saw Joey Logano and Kyle Busch get into it. They are athletes and they drive cars that could kill each other. I would see if Kyle Busch went over to Joey Logano and got in his face maybe exchange some unfriendly words. However not let their fists do the talking.

The reason why is kids look up to them maybe one would want be them one day. If they saw this and said ‘yeah this okay to do’ they are wrong. I lost respect for Kyle Busch for sure. He is the one who threw the first bunch and yeah I don’t agree what Joey Logano did with his car but he didn’t fight. I also noticed that Kyle Busch is a bit of whiny guy. He complained for the first race that his Goodyear tires sucked. I see other cars that have problems and they aren’t blaming anyone just the attitude of finding the problem for the next race.

I am starting to figure out the true athletes of NASCAR are.

Life

My eyes are doing better. But still could be better. Reading things on the computer is still a bit hard to do and my eyes get tired by the end of the night. Which sort of sucks because I am not physically tired. Still have a whole week of drops to do, I really can’t wait till those are done.

We have had two nights of really bad wind. I would wake up scared! I could hear branches breaking from the trees. I would have nightmares of trees falling on our house. It was crazy! Then this happened:

Yes a tree is falling and still falling. It’s mostly leaning on anther tree now. So Derek!!! Ha! Jeff’s friend is going to come out and cut it down for us. It’s a win-win situation. We get rid of falling tree he gets the wood for his house for heat. We are going to take down some other trees too that the woodpeckers like to bore holes in as well.

I hope we get no more super windy days. I will be okay with thunderstorms. Before crazy windy days we had thunder snow. I am also okay with that as well.

Goodbye

Goodbye glasses. Goodbye them falling off my face when I exercise. Goodbye to scratches, them being dirty all the time! Even when I just cleaned them. Why?! Goodbye smudges! Goodbye never knowing where to put them when I want to sleep in the car or elsewhere. Out of style? Who cares now!

I am so happy to have not have to wear you anymore!

I was very nervous getting Lasik. Also I couldn’t find anywhere of someone describing what they felt like when getting it done. Not sure why? I wondered how they would keep me from blinking.

At first they look into your eyes. Then they tell you what’s going to happen. To me it was like okay get on with it, I am nervous! I got a lovely hair net to wear and then the doctor comes in and gave me some relaxing pills, Ibuprofen and Valium. I have never had Valium before so wasn’t sure how it would make me feel. After that I went into the suite as they call it.  There is wear I laid down and the woman put numbing drops in my eyes. The first time it burned but as she went for the third time and fourth time couldn’t feel it.  Thought this was funny and clever at the same time they had me hold on to a teddy bear. The woman said to keep the hands busy and it did.

The doctor then put a plastic round piece over my eyes to keep me from blinking. That makes sense! I figured it was going to be like in horror films with the metal eye things. Ha! Nothing like that. The doctor press on my eyes and I look at a blinking red light that was the laser. The machines sounds like loud clicking noises but wasn’t scary.  After the laser goes for a little bit the doctor takes off the plastic part and okay yes I could feel the flap. Sounds horrible but it didn’t hurt, more like taking something off the skin. The doctor proceeds to wipe the eye with a brush and then puts the flap back. Puts the plastic part over my eye look at the laser and the machine goes. All I saw was white around like a circle and the blinking red of the laser.

No it doesn’t hurt because of the numbing drops. And it only took ten minutes so crazy! I could read something afterwards that how fast it works. Afterwards I saw haziness and that is normal. They say go home and sleep, I have to tell you that really, really helped sleeping!

The next day I saw the eye doctor again and he said I had perfect vision even though even now I still have trouble with light. That is normal. What I don’t like about this is the regiment of eye drops. I have to take three different kinds plus artificial tears. The drops feel like they dry out my eyes terribly. Not much I can do about that. Good thing I only have two weeks of drops to do.

One more thing light. I don’t like it. In our house has been dark. Ha! I hope soon I won’t have trouble with light. I see halos around clocks and such. It’s strange. Other than that. I am happy with the results! I would recommend doing this because it’s worth it!

Life

Saturday we went to hang out with my parents. We ate a new restaurant and had a strange pizza.

It’s bacon cheeseburger pizza with fries on top. Never seen that before however it was good!

My mom also got me this music box. It’s pretty and it plays too ra loo ra loo ral an Irish lullaby.

Sunday I changed my first faucet. It was hard contorting my body to fit under the sink. Our old faucet was so rusty that you couldn’t turn it from one sink to the other. Also they sprayer sprayed you and the counter it was always a mess. This is the old faucet.

New faucet. We love it! By having Jeff having me to do repairs I have to admit I am learning what it takes to do these things. I feel the sense of accomplishment when it’s all finished.

On Sunday night Jeff made steak. Oh I love you steak. It was so good and he made potato wedges.

Let’s try again….this Thursday I am getting my Lasik. I am excited and nervous again. But it will be all good.

Date Day

We had date day yesterday and it was fun!

We went and saw John Wick Chapter 2 movie. It was good but not as good as the first one. Some of the parts were cheesy funny. There is this one scene with the guys in the catacombs with lights. Come on! Some bad guys those guys were. It reminded me of playing a video game on easy. ‘Oh here are some bad, guys can you find them?’ They are shining flash lights at you. Cheesy! Still worth the watch though and yeah open for a third movie.

We thought about going to Badger Sports however didn’t know the kids had either half a day or the day off. We figured it was going to be busy with kids since when we got done with our movie the place was crawling with them.

We decided to go to Mark’s East Side restaurant. Oh wow! I forgot how good their food is! I had a Shepherd’s pie. It was the best I have had ever! Jeff had chop steak with Jack’s bourbon’s glaze and on top was onion rings. I tasted it, it was amazing as well! We also had hot cocoa and hot cider. Mine was peppermint patty and yes it had alcohol in it. Jeff had hot apple pie cider.  I am light weight because after that I was a little drunk. Can tell I am a beer person. Ha!

It was a fun day to get away from the house and spent it with Jeff.

Disappointment

So disappointed! Was excited and nervous to get my eye surgery yesterday. Well I didn’t get it. I have a benefits card and that is something new this year for our insurance and it didn’t go through. Our insurance says we don’t have money in our account which doesn’t make sense because it SHOULD be there. What the hell are we paying for? There is some kind of mess up on our insurance part.

I was angry yesterday and disappointed. It sucked because Jeff took the day off of work and we spent time and money to go there yesterday. To not have anything done. Money because we had to waste gas to get there. I just wanted to get it done and get rid of my glasses.

Now I have to wait. I did make an appointment on March 2 to get it done. So hopefully the insurance thing is all figured out and I can get this done.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day and even though I don’t celebrate let’s face it a lot of people do. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am a getting a little nervous as my eye surgery is this Thursday but still excited to get it. I still can’t believe it’s only going to take 10 minutes! That is crazy to me. I already got all my drops. I have to take four different kinds. At least it’s not nose spray something I really don’t like. Ha!

Last year on Netflix I watched a documentary on bull riding called Fearless. It was how Brazilians got into the sport and focused on just Brazilian riders. I found it to be very interesting. So that spark an interest in bull riding. It’s strange because I have always wanted to go to a rodeo. Just never thought of bull more horse. Now I put that on my list of things I need to see. I would love to go and see some of the favorites. Isn’t that funny! I have favorites.

Right now I have favorite bull riders and I just learn that you can have some favorite bulls. It’s just not the rider it’s the animal as well. I think that is cool! Here are the bull riders I like and really no order: Cody Nance, JB Mauney, Joao Ricardo Vieria and Guilherme Marchi. I think Guilherme Marchi is fun to watch because he is so positive regardless if he wins or loses.

Talking of sports I really can’t wait for NASCAR! Not sure who I am going to root for yet. I am not a huge fan of NASCAR but I do like watching it. I am actually excited to watch.
