Life

Adopting has been sort of a strange process. There are some services that actually discourage adopting. I thought that was strange. We talked to someone who does Foster Care in our town and they are the ones who discourage it. I thought that was strange because there has to be kids who need adopting even in our town. We also tried a service in Appleton that said they are so full of applicants that will would be 2 year wait or longer. In fact they said they were doing their applicants like a lottery because they have so many. That didn’t sound promising to me.  Also I can’t wait that long, it was really the longer part that got me. So we keep going and looking to see what other services their are.

I did this diamond painting in 2 weeks! Take a pic later in a frame.

Been working on Christmas presents. And…owie! My tennis elbow is really acting up. Ugh.

So far I made two mermaids but still have to make their faces. The green one is for my mom. It’s industrial beachy that is the theme to my mom’s house. I didn’t know it was a real thing but it is. The second one is for Bree. Terrible yarn! I got Mary Maxium Prisim yarn. I got that one because it had pastel colors. It was terrible yarn. It frayed so easily and took forever to get to the other colors. It was mostly pink.

I have also been working on the diamond painting. I forget how long it takes to do. But I love this project so much! It’s coming together.

For Halloween I created a boomaid which is a mermaid. LOL! I needed to make a prototype so I can make some mermaids for Christmas. It turned out great!

Jeff asked me to do a diamond painting.

LOL nice imagine right. However it’s cool and it’s going to take me some time to do this one. I can’t wait to see it finished.

Puppy class wasn’t so good. Tex wouldn’t listen at all. But the instructor says she can tell when people practice and when they do not. So she said that all puppies have those days just like people and she thinks Tex will get. Just have to keep going on the training.

I got Red Dead Redemption 2! It’s so fun! I think this is better than the first. Having fun robbing and killing people. LOL! Also bonding with my horse. Had a glitch already had a elongated horse. It’s neck was so stretch for some time. I think those kind of glitches are funny!

I voted! I think voting is important. This time I voted a little more Democratic. Since I am an Independent I can choose the person not the party. I felt like those people I voted for would do a good job. I did vote for some Republicans as well. All the people I voted for got in. I am very happy with this election.

Scary!

I had a scary moment! This week our neighbor is having a garage built. So there is a lot of noise this week. Because of this I have to take the dogs out on the side of our house because they are scared of the workers. No big deal, as I have done it before.

WELL…..

I was taking out Tex first because he is a puppy who can’t hold it. I tell Scotty to stay and he has always! Not on Tuesday! He bolted out the door and ran down the street! I tried catching him but he was way to fast for me. I scared! Good thing Jeff just left for work and wasn’t far away. I called right away and he came back. I walked down the street and looked everywhere for him but couldn’t see him. PANIC!

Thankfully he ran down a street where we always go for a walk. There isn’t much traffic down that road. Jeff was able to find him before me. I walked so fast to catch up to them! Finally got to him and got him the car. Scotty has NEVER done that ever!

I am so happy he is home now and safe.

Cute pic of Scotty:

Pumpkins!

On Saturday we went to my Uncle’s farm to pick pumpkins! It was fun.  Aunt Judy, Aunt Sue and Uncle Dan, my siblings and their families were there. We had lunch then picked out pumpkins. I can’t wait to carve them and eat the seeds.

Tea Party

Yesterday April came over for a visit and we went to a tea party!

My mom and aunt were supposed to come with us but bailed literally the day before. They missed out though! I figured it would be older ladies attending and I was right. There was one older lady that was awesome. I figured she traveled all around the world. She told interesting stories about places she has been drinking tea. Even drinking tea as a kid as well. She was very cool!

What wasn’t cool is one of the ladies that was disrespectful the whole time. The class cost 10 dollars and it was to learn about different teas and how to make tea. We also got a gift bag. I thought it was worth the 10 dollars per person. This lady even asked why it costed so much? Really?! She was rude! However we had a great time and learned about tea. The instructor had fancy hats and gloves to wear. We each got a different saucer and cup to take home along with different teas to try.

Tex was a pretty good puppy when April came. She wanted a pic of her and him. Of course Tex wouldn’t stay still.

Tex now weighs 20 pounds. When April sees Tex again she won’t be able to hold him.

Life

Last Sunday September 9th was my mom’s birthday. It was way dumb. First of all my dad and the guys (Andy and Uncle Dave) sat inside the house to watch football. I thought that was dumb because it was very nice outside and it was my mom’s birthday. What really irritated me was, Jeff and I said we were going to bring drinks. So what does my sister in law do? She brings Bloody Mary’s to the party. We went out of our way to get beer for everyone and no one drank any. I was so mad! Never again will we spend that much for drinks. Usually that beer would be gone in an afternoon. Yet again foiled by my sister in law.  The whole party was just dumb. The kids were all over the place being brats. No one was doing anything about that.

However (hee hee) I made my mom a cross stitch strawberries and Jeff framed it. I just love seeing the reactions of my siblings when I do these things. Insert evil laugh here. Also I like making things for my parents.  But still some evil fun makes it!

WHOOOOO what a weekend! I am tired. lol!

Friday I drove to April’s house to spend the night. We had fun. We went for coffee and breakfast at our usual spot Tera Verde. Afterwards we went to the Calumet County Fair which oddly opens up at 8 A.M. It was nice because I got to see where to park. I am always worried about that as I hate parallel parking and tight areas. As I am not the greatest parker in the truck.  We walked around the fair grounds. We saw some cool animals:

Funny story: We are walking around the fair and we come up to this stand where this guy is selling fudge. April says “I know how to make fudge. It’s easy.” The guy was giving her a mad looks. As we left I couldn’t stop laughing! Later April said she wish she didn’t say that right there. Oh my it’s always a story with April. That one is funny!

Saturday April and I had to be at the fair at 8 A.M. for her show. I was surprised Linda (April’s mom) and Mike (April’s younger brother) came along. I didn’t think they would actually show up. It was great that they were there for her as well.

On this day it was like 80F. So April was super hot in this outfit.

April took second. She was really nervous but I think she did great. She tried and that is awesome!

Sunday Tex came home!

Monday was Labor Day and my parents, Ken and Milena, Kathy and Dave, Chrissy and family came over. To see Tex. We had lunch and everyone played with him. They also brought toys and cleaning supplies. Lol! We weren’t expecting anything but it was very nice of everyone! So far so good. Even though not a whole of sleep going on for us. Also Scotty doesn’t really like him but I think he eventually will.

Life

Today is Jeff’s bday and he has to work today.

Nothing really going on last week. Except for one thing that did bother me. I think this is just so petty. My niece Bree started a FB messenger group chat with all her aunt’s and uncles. I thought it was so cool! There is always someone who is an ass right?! One of Bree’s uncle’s left the chat after I just said “hello Bree!” and a cute emoji to follow. It’s because only my sister and I share a mom but not a dad. So what, this is Bree she is 8 and she wanted to say hi to all her family. What an ass right. There is always one. That just bothered me. They were talking about getting together with her that night. Jeff and I don’t care about that stuff. Talk all you want we didn’t have hurt feelings. We were excited to see Bree on messenger she is a funny little girl.

Anyways this weekend is when the fun happens, Friday I am going to hangout with April. Saturday she is in her first horse competition. I am excited to see her go for it. Sunday we get Tex!

Life

Nothing really happening last week. Jeff worked on the car as it needed new brakes. I helped him when he needed but that’s it really.

I did finish my mom’s birthday present:

The kit didn’t come with enough flower buttons. Good thing I keep extras from other projects. I had a dragonfly button and added it where a flower button would go.

Started reading a new app. I know! I know! I am addicted. I started reading in the app Lovestruck. The stories here are interesting and the graphics are cool. One more thing the chapters are a good length which can be a problem with those story apps. However I did find somethings that sucks about this app. One is the whole choices thing. You get hearts in this app and it seems every time I think I have enough for a choice it isn’t. For example I will have 20 hearts and the choice will be 23 hearts. Yeah that doesn’t seem right to me. Another thing is they have a broken story and of course it’s my favorite called Speakeasy Tonight. It’s not getting updated anymore and yet they let you spend your time reading it even though you will never find out what happens. Boo! One more con of this app is the time for tickets. 2 and half hours for one ticket or so it seems sometimes. Sometimes you get 2 tickets and sometimes you only get one ticket. Not sure what determiner this. Unlike Choices or Episodes where the time is sped up a little, Lovestruck really takes 2 and half hours for whatever ticket I guess they decide you get.

Yet I will keep reading as I love the story Astoria. You get to get together with Gods. I started out with Hades. Unfortunately they don’t tell you how you should read them. I just jumped right in a story with Hades and found out you have to read them in a certain order for it all to make sense. Anyways it’s still good reads though.
