It’s that time again!

I want to walk down memory lane. I miss my dad doing Santa’s voice and Adam being his elf. How fun that was, when all the kids were small. Even when dad would do Santa’s voice when I was little. My mom putting silly names on the presents like from Rudolph or from Dancer. Fun names not just from Santa or the parents. Leaving out milk and cookies for Santa. Making homemade the Christmas cookies with mom. Fun memories I didn’t think I would miss from Christmas as an adult.

This year no parents and all the kids are grown up. Went to my sister’s house for Christmas it was fun. We spent 5 hours there. We didn’t get home till 11 at night. But we had a great time. The kids were so funny! They each got money and we got them body spray as well. I picked out Bree’s gift and got her Bodycology Vanilla Whip and I just thought I like it so maybe she will will like it. She freaked out about it and was OMG THIS IS MY FAVORITE! How did you know? That made me feel good! Just guessed really. As for Drew, Jeff got him Bod spray three of them. He was like OMG I love these and I needed more! Made us happy they loved their gifts.

I dyed my hair neon green. I am not sure, I like it because it’s different but think I look better in dark hair at the same time. I didn’t have to spend any money to dye my hair as I already had everything. That’s a plus!

Taking a pic with Tex was hard! He was so hyper and wanted to play. But still got some pics. Lol! Silly!

Last Thursday was Thanksgiving and it was interesting. I am going to talk about my cousin Korrie. Found out she is the same age as me. Which would mean you would think that she would have some manners, that is not so.

She is one of those people where it’s all about me, me and me. Which normally I am fine with, more about you is better than about me. However, when they are rude! I am not okay with that. First, she made lemon cheesecake which was fine, it was huge!

My Aunt Judy has been going through a hard time. She is 83 years old. Her husband (Uncle John) who is also 83 years old had a health scare that lead him to be in the ICU for some days. He had to get a pace maker put in they day before Thanksgiving. I was surprised to see Aunt Judy at Thanksgiving. She looked really tired which is understandable! So, I was sitting at the table with Korrie, my mom, Aunt Judy, Jeff and my Aunt JoAnne. Aunt Judy asked what is this wet stuff? Korrie replies “It is curd you dork!” That was appalling to me. I couldn’t believe she said that to her. That was very disrespectful. Aunt Judy brought that up all day and Korrie was super flustered which is good because WTF Korrie!

Also, Korrie has 4 kids from 4 different me. She was cleaning the table and we were talking about her kids. My mom said “I had to raise 2 kids by myself for a while. It was hard.” Which Korrie replies I had to raise 4 kids all by myself with no help.” I didn’t know it was a contest. My mom gave the look like whatever. The way she says things isn’t right.

Then! Then! I was talking to my mom about her puppy Tank and I was talking about Tex. She had to butt in to talk about her Maine coon cats who she is breeding. Tell us about her first litter on and on. Telling us she loves cats more than dogs. Which is totally fine! But my mom and I were talking about our dogs not your cats. She really can’t read the room for sure. Some people really can’t.

Nail in the coffin as they say. Talking how she is going to school for paramedic fire fighter. Which is a amazing but how about just say how you are doing instead of bragging about it. Read the room Korrie! On and on about school and how hard it is in her 40’s to this or that.

Funny, I was just telling Jeff I rarely don’t tune people out and think of other things. But there has been times where I would think of other things, mostly what movie I want to see later or I will think about what Tex is doing right now. Jeff said he is the same! It’s rare but does happen to him too. When Korrie was speaking, I admit I totally stopped listening and was thinking how rude this person is.

That was Thanksgiving. The food was good. It was good to see Aunt Judy.

Thursday was the 4th of July our Independence Day. Went to mom’s house. Some of my aunts and uncles were there and some of my cousins. It was a fun day.

My mom had her friend Kathy. I have to say she was judgemental. You know how you can tell if someone is being judgemental towards you. Yes, that was her. She was judgemental about my hair being super short and my zombie tattoo. Damn I didn’t like how she said things to me. Also, my tattoos aren’t for anyone else but me.

My cousin Jeff was there and we played cards like we always do. Okay, my Uncle Dan is old! Cousin Jeff always plays these games with a billion rules! So many! Can tell that Uncle Dan was having trouble remembering them. Damn, even I can’t ever remember the rules. It’s like damn dude, keep it simple. I also got in trouble for going out of turn. Funny, cousin Jeff yelled at me and my Jeff was ready to get off the couch and yell at him for yelling at me. Lol! I love that man. Turns out it wasn’t my fault my cousin Reuben was going out of turn. I didn’t get an apology. I don’t really like my cousin Jeff anyway.

It was Tex’s birthday! He turned 6! I can’t believe he is 6. Where did the time go?!

Awe Happy birthday to our baby!

Last Thursday was Thanksgiving. It was a different kind of Thanksgiving. We only stayed for 3 hours. Usually, we stay for 6 or more, depending on. We played a game with mom. We ate. Tell you what eating at Thanksgiving used to be so stuff can’t move. Now it’s so puny. Korrie my new cousin made the turkey and there wasn’t much there. It was so pathetic. I am glad to leave only after 3 hours. Not a lot of people talking to each other either because the Packer game was on.

I finished this cute penguin.

I felt so bad on Saturday! That day was lunch with Chrissy and their family. I almost canceled because I felt so bad. But I went anyways. I had a great time with everyone and Chrissy got me this for my birthday this Friday!

That is a purse which is cool. I told her she didn’t have to get me anything and she paid for lunch. That was so nice of her to do. She asked if she should invite Corey and Kim and I said no. Hahahaha! My theory with Corey is we all have internet he could contact me at any time and he never does so oh well with him. I am too old to deal with family bullshit.

Later on Saturday, I did go to Urgent Care. The doctor told me I got a cold after having Covid. She gave me some cough suppressants and they have helped so much! No more waking up at night to cough and feeling terrible because of coughing. I still feel not myself a hundred percent but I think I am getting there.

I am 40 today! 40! I can’t believe I am 40 now. I am not sure how to feel about it. One thing though is I made it! I am still here. I am happy about that.

I can’t believe it but our Tex turned 4 on July 4! I can’t believe he is 4 already! He has grown up a lot this year. Jeff and I say he “adults” which he sometimes does! He has good and bad days like humans! It’s funny to see that. I would say “Tex you having a day?” LOL! He has the most personality of any dog we have had before.

Happy birthday Tex! We got him a new toy named the jumbler. It squeaks and that’s his favorite. He LOVES squeaky toys. This one is made by Kong so we know it won’t break. He has been having a grand ol’ time with it. We love you Tex!

Sunday was Mother’s Day. I have to admit I wasn’t really looking forward to it even though I made an extra effort this year. Jeff and I went to Aldi’s and bought all the ladies’ tulips. They were five dollars can’t go wrong with that. Jeff also made chicken and brats for the main dish which was yum!

Kim came can you believe it?! She actually was nice on Sunday. That’s strange. Dad said she is trying to make up for what happened last year. Took her long enough for her to be nice to anyone really. Of course, they left early which was fine with the rest of us.

I stayed and slept over. I hung out with my parents all day on Monday. It was cool to do so. They can be silly. Mom and I went to discount stores all over Green Bay. That was fun. Then later Jeff came and we all went out to eat. They were glad that I wanted to hang out with them. My dad said it many times while I was there. That makes me happy.

Yesterday was Easter. It was fun. My mom hid plastic Easter eggs around her house. There were three little kids who were playing. Mom had an egg with quarters in it. It was fun to watch them trying to find them. We had good food and some of my aunts and uncles were there. It was a pleasant visit.

Last Thursday I had to go to the dentist because where they put the screw was puffy. But he said it looks good now, a week later. Okay here is something dumb. Because I got my partial denture last year, I can’t get implants this year until 2026. Isn’t that so dumb?! That is what my insurance said. So now I have to pay out of pocket for what I have done this year. If I would have known that I wouldn’t have gotten my partial last year. Dental implants are way better. My insurance claims that having my partial is efficient enough. Lame!

I saw my dad at the dentist. He was coming out and I was going in. What are the odds? I thought that was funny.

Happy Birthday

March 17 was my birthday! I am 39! I had a great birthday. Monday I went to the dentist then went to see my parents. We went to a Mexican restaurant near their house because I wanted to eat a yummy taco salad. They gave me money and this really cute rug.

I got 40 pods of any coffee of my choosing from crazycups.com and that’s my birthday gift from Jeff! Best gift!

Then on Friday, we went to see Ken and Mileena. My birthday is the 17th, Mileena’s birthday is the 18th, and Ken’s birthday is the 19th. Birthday extravaganza! I got an Amazon gift card which is as good as actual money!

Chrissy bought me this cool bracelet!

I had a great birthday week!
