A solider is found dead in a training session and strange things happen. Is what the movie says it’s about but that is misleading. The movie starts out good and has some jump scares. Telling how the island they are training on is haunted.
This movie starts out good! But then it falls apart quickly. There is one character who almost ruins it and there are some hit and miss moments. The guy who is in charge he can’t decide if he is British or from India. But then when he speaks in Mandarin and he sounds better. One of the biggest mistakes this movie makes is they switch between Mandarin and English.
There is one scene that freaked me out and it is in the middle of the movie. It’s when one character goes the restroom in the middle of the night.
It has good ideas but then goes to the same old concept. Too bad because the artwork in the beginning is nice but never explains it. Strange. The end is also really dumb. It’s too predictable.
This movie is well done with the acting and the set. It’s supposed to be authentic except the women. LOL! I say that because I watched on YouTube how the creator wanted it all to be right in the time period. But apparently women always had great eyebrows and shaved.
It’s the 1600’s and this family is banned from their colony. They move out on some land near a forest which Witches live. Then they become cursed and things happen.
I didn’t really like this movie also I didn’t understand the ending too much. I had to watch YouTube to understand. When I did, I thought it was just okay.
The older daughter goes to loving God to questioning her faith then decides the devil is better.
It’s a beautiful movie but I wouldn’t watch this again. Also I thought it was pronounced Vitch because the cover is this VVitch trying to be fancy.
I have read the book and saw the original a couple of times. This a remake and the changes made just for the sake of horror.
There is this strange detail that makes me wonder why they made this one death change. It doesn’t make any real sense to me. Pointing this out doesn’t ruin the movie because if you know anything about Pet Sematary you will wonder too.
The character Zelda’s death. It doesn’t make any sense to me in the remake of this movie. She dies in a dumb waiter but how? She has spinal meningitis so how does someone who is bed ridden get in the dumb waiter?
There are many changes they made in this film other than Zelda’s death I don’t find them terrible. I found that the main character Louis was bland. Other than that it was pretty good.
I recommend a watch but don’t expect to be blown away.
I guess technically 32 Days of scary since I had to start September 30th. Lol!
Rating system is 1 it’s terrible to 5 really great, a must see. I will also include where to see it.

Two friends who are also the makers of the movie. One friend Derek is dying and his friend Cliff want to take a trip around the world together since it may be the last time they can together. One of them gets bitten by a vampire.
I thought oh no not another vampire movie however the way they do this movie is great! I really like the idea of it. As one transform into a vampire the other friend films the transformation as they are trying to figure out what happened to him. They don’t know that he is a vampire. It doesn’t take long to set up the film either which is nice!
I would recommend a watch of this one.

Watch the trailer looks scary right?! I want to rename this film to The Final Snooze Wish. Because I wished to take a nap through this film than waste my time.
What was in the trailer with the old woman in the kitchen is what made me want to see this film. That scene didn’t even show up! Ugh! Took too long to set this film up as well.
A guy from (Twilight) comes back home because his father passed away. He comes home to attend the funeral and help his mom. His father was a collector of stuff basically. There is a strange looking item that grants wishes but has consequence (of course).
He wishes a series of things and doesn’t realize all the terrible things is his fault. Then he finds his father’s partner and he says. Don’t make 7 wishes otherwise it will have your soul. (Is it nap time yet?) There are a few jump scares but that is it. The end is lame as well.
I have never in my entire life had it this straight! Lori said she went to some classes with this new product for people who have curly or frizzy hair and it makes the hair straight. I was her guinea pig. Happy to be. Lol!
I told Lori I wanted something different in terms of color without stripping my hair. She gave me this color and I love it!
Saturday April 20th we picked up April who’s birthday was that day! We rarely celebrate each other’s birthday on the day. We went for brunch and it was fun. I got her English Tea and monarchs of England book. She love it!
Since she wasn’t here for my birthday she got me sonic screwdriver earrings and necklace. Yes! Dr. Who!
Sunday April 21 was Easter!
We had Easter at my parent’s house. Not that many people there this year but that’s okay. It was the first Easter that April came with me. April has cut her family out of her life and it’s about time!
All they do is bring her down and tell her she is useless. She told them early this year she was done with them. She only has contact with her brother and sister in law which is good. It was fun to have her there.
One thing Aunt Joanne got all pissed because Jeff made a cake. It’s just food she made the comment “I wouldn’t have made two cakes if I knew.” In an angry way. It’s food. Someone will eat it. I hate that she gets this way. Guess what everyone ate all the cakes so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Monday April 22 this was April’s last day. We always have fun together. We went out to eat then had coffee at the local coffee shop. We can always pass the time talking and it’s all random.
It was so good to see her. Tex thought so too. He LOVES April. Always wants to play with her and cuddle with her. When April is here, we don’t get Tex she does. Silly dog.
This morning I am going to have breakfast with my parents and Chrissy. I invited my brother and his family but they didn’t respond to me. Oh well missing out on a great breakfast.
Then I have been debating what I want as a treat. So I want Seroogy’s chocolate and Jeff is going to get me some coffee to take home. They have awesome coffee!
Jeff got me a couple of gifts and I got them early. One I wanted he got me a new phone case. The second one that I didn’t know about this skull! It’s awesome!
In the beginning the week I didn’t forget about Valentine’s Day. I thought of a romantic comedy to watch Love Actually. I have seen it already but Jeff wanted to see it. Then Valentine’s Day came and I forgot about it. Lol! That’s how much I care about Valentine’s Day.
Anyways we watched Love Actually. I forgot a lot about that movie so it was good to watch again. Jeff said he liked it. I forgot how much nudity is in that movie. Lol!
Helen sent me a great birthday presents! She is always so thoughtful.
Happy New Year now I am in 2019. So crazy! I am hoping for good things this year.
We are going to start the process of adopting this January. I have to say I am nervous. I have always wanted a child but the more I think the more nervous I get. But I think it will be a great experience and plus we will have a child.
I entered my first contest for writing. It was for a Sci-fi story. I had 23 pages and a little over twelve thousands words. I completed in less than a month. It was so crazy! April really helped me out on the grammar and she proof read it a lot for me. With her help I was able to complete it on time. I will continue to do that and we are going to do a fundraiser later this year. Just keep plugging along on that. April liked the story so much she has encouraged me to make that story into a book. Yeah I can see that.
After we took Tex to see my Aunt’s dogs. Well he took revenge on us because he hated being there. He ate one of my slippers, peed in the house and caused mayhem all day. The day after that he was back to himself. It’s funny how animals can get back at us even though he was being a demon that day.
Christmas actually was fun this year! I was dreading Christmas this year and probably every year. I was happy how it went and I think it is because the kids are older. Bree got a lot of adult presents this year. It was funny how excited she was to get such presents. We got her a sewing kit and funny later my mom told me she got her a sewing machine so it was fitting.
I made beard hats for everyone, just for fun! It was really long process to get them all done on time and I even was doing them in the last minutes before we left to go to my parent’s house but I made it.

We all look so silly and I love it! I made them all packer colors expect Andy as he likes the Bangles.
Christmas Day Jeff made chicken dumpling soup and my parents and Adam came over for some time. Mom, Adam and I played games while Jeff and dad visited. It was a great time. Adam stayed the night.
We watched Die Hard. Have to every year. We think it’s a badass Christmas movie. Then Adam and I watched the new Halloween together. Something funny on Wednesday I woke up super early and went to Walmart at six a.m. Best after Christmas sales. It was crazy Walmart opened up at six and it was packed! I was surprised but I got some good deals and things for Christmas next year.
Later on Wednesday we all went to my Aunt Kathy’s house. Jeff made chili and it was yummy like always. We brought Tex and it wasn’t a good time. Tex peed in their house and I felt really bad about it even though they said it happens and weren’t mad. But I still felt bad that it happened.
My Aunt has a black lab who didn’t like Tex too much. Which she said was strange he was acting that way because her dog is a submissive to other dogs. I could tell Tex didn’t want to be there as he kept hiding underneath my chair. We stayed for a couple of hours and was relieved to leave. Usually visiting isn’t bad but with Tex, I kept worrying about him going potty in their house and how much he didn’t like being there. On the way home he was so tired!
This next picture is so funny! Every time I look at it, I can’t stop laughing. It’s like he is trying to tell me to leave him alone so he can sleep. ROFL!
All in all it was a good Christmas fun. Tomorrow Adam goes back home but first we all are having breakfast together.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving and it was good. I think every year Thanksgiving is getting smaller and smaller.
I remember Thanksgiving as a kid and it was a ton of people. We also use to play family football together but that hasn’t happened in years. Now everyone is older and grown up. Also most of the women would get out ads from the paper to look at deals for today Black Friday. Now no one does that anymore together.
I was a little sad that we couldn’t play poker this year because we had to get home to Tex. Next year we can stay to play.
It’s always good to see the family even though not that many show up now.
