Life

We have been trying to sell our Durango since last year. It has happened! We said goodbye to our Durango on June 12.

The couple who came over and looked at it. They tried to strike a deal for a lot lower than we wanted. They came back almost 3 weeks later and said they would take it for what we were asking for it. Yay!

It took almost a week for the bank to clear everything and on June 12 at 11:30 at night they came and got it. Why they had to get it on Friday instead of Saturday. Maybe because the wife really wanted it since it was to be her car. She was excited to finally get it.

I have mix feelings. I am happy because we are closer to getting out of debt. But sad because it was a good car. However it did need work and there was some rust starting. It was fun to drive though.

Life

I forgot to say on January 4. I was petting Tex and he was sitting on my foot like he always does. Then he saw Jeff pull into the driveway and got all excited like he always does. Except this time he used my foot as a launching pad to jump into the air and I heard crunch!

It hurt so badly! I thought for a couple days that he broke my little toe on my right foot. But after a few days I came to the conclusion it was two toes he broke. My two last toes on my right foot. I have been dealing with that. Nothing I can do really. Can’t go to the doctor because they don’t do anything for toes unless it’s the big one. I have been putting it up at night and taking painkillers. That’s all I can do till they heal.

On Friday the 11th. Well even before then Jeff had been complaining that he didn’t feel well. And didn’t know what to do. By Friday he came home and I admit he didn’t look too good so we went to the ER. He was complaining that his chest hurt and had a lump in his throat.

The time we checked in and the time we sat down. We had to get up again because we were called that fast. I think because Jeff said his chest hurt. They worked fast in the beginning.

They worked fast to rule out heart attack. They took blood to rule out other things. Jeff had to get an x-ray of his chest. It’s cool they gave us a print out of his x-ray. They ruled out a lot of things. Found out he was really dehydrated. They gave him I think it was three bags of solution which took the longest. We were there at five and didn’t leave to almost nine.

Since we were there so long ugh I was in so much pain when we got home. My foot! I couldn’t take off my shoes or put my foot up. It was swollen and painful all that night. Sleeping wasn’t really a thing that night because of the pain and nothing seemed to helped.

However I am glad he is okay though. I was so worried.

Life

I had the nicest thing happen to me yesterday on Thursday. Went to the post office to send my friend Helen her package for Christmas. However they are always changing the rules when I send her packages. Sometimes they don’t want you to put on the label then they want too. It’s like make up your mind! Anyway I didn’t put the label on and they wanted the label on. Also they wanted me to buy the tape. Ridiculous! This woman behind me paid for the tape. I couldn’t believe it! I thanked her so many times, that was so nice!

I want to write about adoption again. Some of my family are really happy for us, so are friends. However what I didn’t count on is the other half. It’s strange to have some family not either want to talk about it or object going the adoption way. It’s not discouraging however, if they want to be that way then so be it. I look at it as this is our life and this is what we want to do. No one is going to talk us out of it. In fact we decided to go with
Lutheran Counseling & Family Services. We had a great chat with Kate on Thursday and just talking to her, she help us make the decision to go with them. We start the process in January. We are very excited. She said for some reason they have been having lots of boys come through. However I told Jeff, I think we will have a daughter. Funny that is what April said too! It’s very exciting!

I am having the what the hell moment here. So Adam is back in town and he never contacted me. I had to be the one to contact him. I find that to be strange because he usually does. He talked a lot about coming over and hanging with us but so far nope. So what the hell?!

On Tuesday April came over and we made a ton of Christmas cookies. Tex wouldn’t stop licking my fingers and got powder sugar all over his face. Silly dog!

Then April wanted to make a egg nog bundt cake. So we did.

What’s been happening.

My tongue doesn’t know how to handle it though. Funny! It’s like there isn’t supposed to be nothing there. There hasn’t been for almost three years. Feels like it’s too big to be in there even though it’s tiny. I am happy with it and you can’t tell it’s fake from the rest of my teeth.

I am going for round two getting another implant this November. Yeah a full set on one side.

We moved all in our new house. Now we just have boxes everywhere! Time to unpack and stay for a long time. That is a good feeling.

Unfortunately because if you are married you know husbands do not listen. I told Jeff he was going to hate the bathroom. And guess what? He hates the bathroom. I know what he would say ‘well we were going to buy the house anyways’. Yeah I know. Funny!

When I step on the tub it makes creaking sounds. Also it’s tiny. We have to redo the bathroom. Good thing my husband is good at finding things on sale. We are hoping Jeff’s Uncle Jules can help us with the bathroom. He does that for a living doing construction projects and he runs his own business. Maybe he will give us discount you know family discount that would be nice.

I will keep you updated on the whole bathroom thing.

Take Two

2014

This is my first blog post but technically it’s not. I had a blog earlier this year but my hosting provider decided to decommission the server without notice and I lost everything. So I get to start over, which I am fine with. This blog is all about me. I do not really talk about myself with my friends or family all that much but here I get to talk all about me.

My name is Danielle and I live Wisconsin, the state that looks like a hand. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and have never left but maybe someday I will. I do not know the future. If I did I would win the lottery. I live in a tri-level house. I am married; I got married September 15 2007 to an awesome guy.

We live with my father in law, my husband’s dad. My mother in law died last year and my husband is very close with his parents. So we help him out and he helps us out. So it all works out. We also have two dogs. A Beagle mix named Scotty and he is 7, he is also my father in-laws dog. Also a purebred black Labrador named Koko, he’s 8 and he’s our baby.

I was born on March 17th 1983. Yes Saint Patrick’s Day. The only good thing about being born on Saint Patrick’s Day is the free beer I can get which is always good.

I have one older sister, older brother and a younger brother and I am the middle child. Technically my older sister and brother are only half. We all share the same mother but not father. My mother was married once before she married my father. But that is not how I look at it they are my brother and sister. When I was younger I totally thought my older brother was the coolest person on the planet. My younger brother and I were really close. I never was very close with my sister. As everyone got older we all separated and now I feel bitterness about it and it’s not for the lack of trying, trust me I have tried. But that is life, so we are not the perfect family. Here I will always be really honest since this my diary online.

Something else about myself, my favorite color is blue, but when I was younger it was pink. I have one tattoo, check the pic. tattoo

I have always loved the image, heart with wings since forever. And I just told you my favorite color blue the D stands for Danielle and the J stands for my husband Jeff. I want for sure two more tattoos. I am going to get a Doctor Who and a skeleton tattoo in the future. Only on my legs, get those tattooed first then I might move upward.

What do I like to do? I love video games but if I am not playing video games or watching TV, I am listening to music. I love music! I like all kinds of genres but my favorites and this includes all forms of the genres Punk, Hard Rock and EDM (electronic dance music).

I think that I am very creative because I love to write poetry and stories. Also I like to cross-stitch and color. But not baby pics, well sometimes like to color princes or princesses but I like to color the really fine details books also love to color mandalas for some reason. The coloring books I get are Dover brand; they have such cool coloring books.

I am a t-shirt and shorts or pants person. I don’t like to wear dresses and forget the high heels, I like my sneakers. When I was teenager I decided if I was never going to wear nylons or tights again and I haven’t since then. I don’t wear makeup all that much but I do like doing my eyes. I wear glasses all the time, I prefer them over contacts. I have really short hair and I love to spike it. My natural hair color is brown but when I was younger is was really black. Now I like to dye my hair, sometimes I go black other times I like to do red brown.

Anything else? Yes I love to watch the Green Bay Packers. I have been watching football since I was born! I have to see Aaron Rodgers, he is my favorite, not only is he a cool Quarterback but he is also cute! Also love cheese curds! (Hey I DO live in Wisconsin) Especially when they are really fresh and squeaky. My husband Jeff hates how they sound because he says they sound like mice. I find that to be funny! And of course fried cheese curds.

Of course there is way more to me than this.

Welcome to Danielle’s blog.
