I have been working on this movie review for what seemed like forever! Who knew even really old movies can have heavy copyright. I do love old gangster movies. Now I can review them. I want people who love old gangster movies or people who like gangster movies but can’t find good ones to experience them. It’s hard to find gangster movies of today that are actually good!
I came across this one while looking and watching old gangster movies. I love this movie! Jeff has decided to watch it with me. I probably have seen it like ten times now. It’s so great.
Why l love this one is it’s so snarky between the two main characters. I wasn’t expecting the funny in this movie. Also, so much action! I wish I could have added all the action but so copyrighted. Oh well, I am glad I can move on to another old gangster movie.
SO….Jeff asked me if I wanted to try weed with him. I said yeah. I have only tried weed once with Jeff’s sister but it was different. I vaped with her. It made me feel calm and nothing else. But it was nice. So…I thought it was going to be like that.
NOPE!
We got weed cookies. I thought it was going to be a nice time. It wasn’t. I felt it right away like calming but then OMG! I felt so strange and then I got a headache. A terrible headache. I didn’t feel well.
Well…Jeff had the worst time. He said he felt like he should go to the ER. He felt terrible! I didn’t know he felt that way. We finally just went to bed early. The next day we didn’t feel too good.
So…that one time Jeff and I did weed is the also the last time. I’ll stick with CBD.
I can’t believe it but our Tex turned 4 on July 4! I can’t believe he is 4 already! He has grown up a lot this year. Jeff and I say he “adults” which he sometimes does! He has good and bad days like humans! It’s funny to see that. I would say “Tex you having a day?” LOL! He has the most personality of any dog we have had before.
Happy birthday Tex! We got him a new toy named the jumbler. It squeaks and that’s his favorite. He LOVES squeaky toys. This one is made by Kong so we know it won’t break. He has been having a grand ol’ time with it. We love you Tex!
Last Thursday was the most fun! Mom and her friend Georgia came over and picked me up. She is an older lady and my mom’s best friend. Now my mom has had best friends in the past and usually has a falling out. But Georgia is something different. I can tell they will be best friends as long as they are alive. They gel so well together! I also like Georgia what a lovely lady.
Last Thursday we went for lunch and went to a vast crafts sale at Herrschners in Steven Point. I had so much fun with both of them together. I was kinda nervous about meeting Georgia and going with her and my mom. But turned out to be a great day. Plus I got a nice haul.
I can’t wait to do them all! Mom picked up some good stuff too. Georgia was there just to be out of her house and be with mom. It was fun though to hang out with them and get some really cool projects for cheap.
Monday was a day. It had ups and downs. Monday was the day we went to Appleton and had to get up at 6 A.M. You know how I feel about mornings. It sucked. I was so tired! We had to take both vehicles as Jeff wanted to get our new truck lowered. Has been something he wrestled with is lowering the truck or putting steps on it. He did put steps on it but then decided to get it lowered. So now the steps are coming off.
The place said that they would have it done by 2 and we gave them the truck at 8. Well, they didn’t have it done till almost 5:30! I thought that was bullshit! We were waiting and I had the idea to just go home and then come back but they said 2. So we thought we would do some shopping and then hit Badger Sports Park. Where they have games and you can win stupid prizes but it’s fun. Also, the weather was very shitty. It was hot and stormy!
Badger’s Sports Park was fun. Jeff won me this and I couldn’t believe he won. lol!
We also took these fun pics too! So we did have fun there.
But it was a really long day and also a huge storm came through as well. We did make it back home before the storm came to our town. It was just a long day though.
Here is my new review. I didn’t think I would like this movie but I did!
Last week I was in terrible pain again! My mouth what am I supposed to do? Feel like all my teeth want to come out. Why? So again went to the dentist. I told the lady “I bet you see me on the schedule and think: Oh no not her again.” I chuckled. She said oh no that’s not what we think or I think. I think oh no! I hope it’s nothing serious. We chuckled about it. We have that Life 360 app where it tracks where someone goes in the car. It says that I have been to the dentist 20 times this year! Crazy!
My lower tooth was hurting really badly. I was very frustrated and cried a little because I am so frustrated with my teeth. What the hell is going on?! I saw the dentist and I thought he was going to be like I said before. “Oh no not her.” But he wasn’t like that. I don’t know why I think the worse of people. I told him which tooth hurt really badly. He said he couldn’t find anything wrong with that one. I was thinking oh no not again! Will he help me or not? Because that is how this all started my other dentist wouldn’t help me. So I found this dentist. But I was wrong which is good. He took an x-ray and showed me that nothing is wrong with the tooth but if I wanted it out, he would take it out. But he rather I kept it. Then he asked do you grind or clench your teeth at night? *Sigh* Yes I clench my teeth at night not all nights but yes some nights. He said he could tell. His plan was to keep the tooth but make adjustments so it wouldn’t hit my upper teeth. Which they grind it down a little, I have had that done before. It’s no big deal. He suggested a nightguard and I finally gave in to getting one. I thought it was going to be really expensive but no. It was only $50 dollars. Awesome!
That night after seeing the dentist a little bump came out. I freaked out a little bit because it was hard and I didn’t know what it was. Also, that’s the place it hurt before and then. Last Friday I went back and told him where the spot was. He felt and was like that’s part of you. It’s part of your jaw. Sometimes the bone will protrude out and have a bump. They are usually harmless but I can give you two options. Option one is I cut open your gums, shave off the bone, and put in some stitches that should take care of it. Option two I give you lidocaine and you put that on before every meal. Hmmm, which option do you think I choose?
Option 2! I told him that sounded scary option one. He was like really? I am like yes! So scary! I don’t want to do that. So I got my night guard. I only have seven teeth on top. I tried the over-the-counter mouth guard and I couldn’t get it molded. I am glad I went with the dentist one. Look how small it is. Lol!
It looks blue in the pic but it’s actually purple. I thought I was going to hate it but I actually like it. Now I don’t wake up with a sore jaw from clenching all night. Also, lidocaine tastes like fruit punch. LOL! It smells like fruit punch too. It’s weird. But it’s been helping with that nub in my jaw. So I hope it all gets better. I rather save teeth than take them out if possible.
I made this sweet treat wreath. It was easier than the Owl wreath. I have to say I do like the owl one better but I like this one. It had more tiny pieces with it. I like that this wreath is sparkly. I added the extra flair all around because I mean they give you extra sequins and pearls. Why not use them.
This is a week off. Yay! We took out our ancient air conditioner and still have to patch the hole inside the house. We did do the outside though. We want another mini-split for the rest of the house.
Our fur baby has been sick! We are not sure how he got it but he got an infection in his lung. I had to somehow collect his pee. That was really hard to do but I did it. They wanted to check for Blastomycosis which we hadn’t heard of before. It’s an infection that affects the lungs and then goes to the brain. Fatal. Was at first worried about that but he didn’t have any of the symptoms. I was worried because he was coughing what sounded like an Asthma cough. They did take a chest x-ray and found a little infection.
We did find out that he doesn’t have Blastomycosis which YAY! He is taking Doxycycline for his infection and has been getting better. Well, I should say a lot better. He has been his normal self again. He has been taking his meds for a little over a week. We are so happy our Tex is feeling better.
What a last week and weekend! So we have come to a point of do we put more money into our truck or get a new to us truck. I hate looking at vehicles to buy. I hate going to someone else’s house and looking at the vehicle. I don’t know I hate all of it. Anyways I will stop complaining. lol! Decided to go and look at other trucks and sell ours. We have a 2003 Dodge Ram. Jeff really wanted a truck that had no salt on it. Since we live in WI, it gets salty out here in the winter. Rust-oh-rama which our Ram doesn’t have a lot of rust. Mostly on the corner of the door. But anyway….he looked at one in IL. And I liked that one but wasn’t sure. Then he found one in Iowa. UGH IOWA! I didn’t want to drive to Iowa.
After considering the Iowa truck. Jeff found out he couldn’t work on that truck as it would be hard to do. Don’t ask what kind of truck it was, I can’t remember. There were so many trucks he looked at. Hahaha!
There was a Truck in MI that he liked. Jeff said he wanted a truck an old man owns because they take care of vehicles which is so true! This truck was about three hour’s drive from our home. We decided to go look at a 2009 Chevy Silverado. Jeff said he has never owned a Chevy. This Chevy was owned by an old man. LOL! We went there and he kept that truck in a barn under blankets. He told us he only put 10,000 miles on it and would never drive it in the winter. He took really good care of this truck and he was the second owner.
This guy was named Tom and he was super nice! He loved to talk too which is fine by us. Also had a cute black lab who was three. He was so cool. We took the truck on a drive and I was thinking this is the one. We bought the truck and drove back to WI.
Then on Saturday got a good deal off of FB Marketplace for new tire rims. Had to drive to Appleton which is a bit further away from us to go and get them. So many hours in the car.
I did it! I did a Conqueror virtual race of 20 miles. I have to say I will do more races these medals are super awesome!
I finally got it done! My owl wreath turned out awesome. I didn’t follow the picture. I arranged it how I wanted it.
Sunday was Mother’s Day. I have to admit I wasn’t really looking forward to it even though I made an extra effort this year. Jeff and I went to Aldi’s and bought all the ladies’ tulips. They were five dollars can’t go wrong with that. Jeff also made chicken and brats for the main dish which was yum!
Kim came can you believe it?! She actually was nice on Sunday. That’s strange. Dad said she is trying to make up for what happened last year. Took her long enough for her to be nice to anyone really. Of course, they left early which was fine with the rest of us.
I stayed and slept over. I hung out with my parents all day on Monday. It was cool to do so. They can be silly. Mom and I went to discount stores all over Green Bay. That was fun. Then later Jeff came and we all went out to eat. They were glad that I wanted to hang out with them. My dad said it many times while I was there. That makes me happy.
So much PAIN! Sunday I was in pain then Monday I was in more pain, Tuesday I was crying I was in so much pain! I had a huge toothache like I have never had! That is saying something to me. I couldn’t do anything on Tuesday because was in so much pain! No over-the-counter pills worked. My jaw was in the most pain. My head felt like it was in a vice! The biggest headache I have had in a long time. Even my eyes and nose hurt.
Thankfully the dentist could see me on Tuesday. When I got there I told him how I haven’t slept in 2 days and I am in the worst pain ever! He was so nice about it too. I begged him please, please take it out and he was like okay. He had some other patients that day he had to take care of first. So after he saw me, Jeff and I bumped around Green Bay for about an hour then I went back. He asked if I wanted to see him on Friday and I take pain pills and antibiotics. I told him no. Please I need to not be in this amount of pain. So that’s why I came back.
When I came back I asked if I could see the tooth he is about to pull. He was like sure! You can even have it. I was surprised by that answer. Because usually I do get to keep it but last time in 2020 the last dentist said I couldn’t even have it or see it because it was hazardous material. Which I didn’t understand because it was just in my mouth. Be warned I am going to post my tooth. lol! I think it’s cool to see. Of course, I won’t keep it. I like to look at it and then throw it away. I told Jeff damn I should have kept them all and made a bracelet. I was joking of course! ROFL!
I find it fascinating to see the tooth. This one had a root canal in it. I was wondering if it would break and it didn’t so that was good. This is also the last root canal tooth in my mouth.
He asked after the tooth was pulled if I wanted to be numb for longer so if I wanted to go sleep it wouldn’t hurt and I would have been taking some over-the-counter meds to help with the swelling. I said yes and now I wish I said no. Instead of being numb for longer, the only thing that was numb for a long time was my lips. My tongue and jaw became un-numb at first. It was a strange feeling.
My dentist is a rockstar! I thought that I could get an implant this year but found out I couldn’t even though I had already started the process. I was stuck paying for what I had done out of pocket. Which was doable with our flex spend we get from insurance every year. But still sucked though.
He told me that he felt bad. That if he would have known he wouldn’t have pushed it to get it done. I told him it was my fault and I should have checked further with insurance. Because my partial counts and taking care of the problem. He said still he felt bad about it and that he was going to give me a good faith discount. I only had to pay half of what I owed! LIKE DAMN MY DENTIST IS A ROCKSTAR! I have never had that in a dentist before.
