You Choose

I can’t help it I love the apps that you get to choose your own path. I have written about several of them.

On top of that I am reading two paper back books. As I am still working on reading 50 books. If reading apps with choices counted as books I would have read a hundred by now but I am not counting them.

In the app store there are a lot to choose your own and a lot of them are crap. Some are written terribly and some cost too much to play. Some have so many ads they become unplayable. Some you have to wait ridiculous amount of time to play again. On and on.

And…I tried to play more than half of them. My app store is filled with all the choose you owns that failed for me to play them again.

Beware!

Always read what any app really but for sure choose your own adventures what they want from you. Whether you signing in with your FB account which most of them use. Or an email and really read what is they will take from you. Some of them will use your information and sell it to companies to sell you something with ads or whatever they may use it for. Some of them will use your information for the purpose of the game and keep it until you contact them to be removed. Those are the scariest in my own opinion. I will never use my personal information for those games. I don’t know what will they do with my information. And I have already someone hack into my FB account. Have to be really careful on what information they want.

Time to talk about LoveStruck again. I am losing interest in this app. I think I have been playing now almost a year or little over a year. I am not really sure.

Buyer beware!

LoveStruck in my opinion does not have any customer service. They never fixed my problem and never got back to me and it’s been two weeks. TWO WEEKS?! I am done with them.

My decision is to just read the stories. I have to say I have been skipping days here and there. I use to read every single day but LoveStruck changed my opinion on them. I can’t believe they can’t fix this problem so therefore they do not deserve any of my money. Too bad for them. Also I will be writing a review on the app store.

Which I really do read those reviews on the app store. They can be so informational. They can influence me and let me know about the good and the bad on an app. I find myself still trying out the app to realize that people were right about an app and sometimes they are wrong. I mean before I buy anything on Amazon I look at the reviews same goes for games in the app store.

Choices stepped up their game! Literally! Now you can earn diamonds everyday. You can earn five diamonds a day. There is a little present click on it and you get one diamond everyday. Then watch ads you can earn four more every single day. It’s awesome! Also what is cool and this has happened to me. Let’s say I watch an ad but it didn’t count because in this app that happens sometimes. It will reload another ad, watch it and earn that diamond. WOW! I am impressed Choices!

Another thing is you can choose your gender. There are skins to choose whom you want to look like as well. Except for some of the stories because of the time period which you have to play as a woman. That is understandable because history.

Plus the stories have been better! Here are my favorites right now and some are still adding new chapters. Desire & Decorum 1 and 2, Blood Bound, Open Heart, HSS Class Act 1 and 2, Ride or Die, The Courtesan of Rome, The Heist Monaco, Royal Romance 1, 2 and 3, Perfect Match 2. I didn’t really like the first Perfect Match but the second is better. But still have to play one to carry the choices over to the second book.

I have never had a problem with Choices. They have a great blog as well that tell about the people who write the stories and the stories themselves. Google Pixelberry Studios blog and it will show up.

My new obsession of choose your own is Romance Club. In the app store it’s called Romance Club-stories I play. The artwork in this app is awesome! The characters are full bodied. You can see the expressions on the characters faces as well. However the angry expression on some of the characters are a little scary. That surprised me the first time. Like OH SHIT! That is scared me! It’s funny now.

In this app there is only five stories as I write this. A lot less stories than the other apps and it only updates so far as I have seen every other month. The company that writes this app is Russian. Sometimes not your character but the other characters in the game sometimes pop up with their Russian names in the Russian language.

Another thing is and I am not sure why but I am thinking time zone difference. It sort of sucks but happy to wait for it. When they say there is a new release look at their FB page they tell when the episodes will release. It always happens the day after they say. For example if they say episodes will be released on March 5 it’s will be March 6 for me.

I actually have to go to the app store to update the app. They do not do it automatically like all the other apps. I didn’t know that. I went to the app store and saw that I had to update the game myself. Figured out by myself.

The five stories are Sails in the Fog this one is my favorite! It’s about pirates. You can fall in love with three people in this one, I have found. You can choose between the Captain, a childhood friend or a woman pirate. Of course I choose the Captain. In this story you play as Adelaide. You do not get to choose her name which is find by me.

Moonborn is about vampires and werewolves. The first season of Moonborn is boring and really long! However season 2 and 3 which 3 is out now with some chapters it’s better. If you can get past season one.

The loves interests are a vampire, werewolf and a human. So far in season 3 there is nothing of the human love interest but it’s still new. I choose human and vampire in my story. Also I find that the human love interest isn’t as interesting as the vampire and werewolf in which you spend the most time with.

My Hollywood Story you are an struggling actress. There is a great cliff hanger in this one. Your love interest so far is fashion designer or next door neighbor so far. I choose fashion designer. Also I have to point this out. There is a detective in the story and his name is Jeff. He is a good looking character. I showed my Jeff and he even said he was good looking. LOL! Silly.

Queen in 30 days. Yeah you can guess what this one is about. A king has to find his queen in 30 days. Guess what your character wants to do? lol! But in this one you can choose the king or his body guard.

Shadows of Saintfour is brand new and only has one episode. What I can tell thriller or mystery. One of those or both.

In Romance Club you can get free diamonds and free teas. Instead of tickets or keys they have tea. Lol! It means watching ads to get them but worth it and every day you come back your amount of diamonds increases. At first it was two for me now I get five diamonds a day for a daily reward.

Downside of this app is the choices are crazy expensive! Some choices are as little as five diamonds while other can be as much as hundred! So far buying clothes in this app doesn’t make any difference in the story line. Your character will say “these are rags” however the story line is the same. Some choices you can watch an ad to get the choice.

Each brand new story like Shadows of Saintfour the first episode you will get ten diamonds and you can watch an ad to get two more diamonds. So that is twelve diamonds for a brand new episode. New chapters for stories you can earn diamonds and watch an ad to get two more diamonds. So there is a way to earn diamonds in this app.

There is a cool bonus but the time is ridiculous to me. Especially if it’s for your favorite story. At the end of each season you can have the chance to read a bonus episodes but you have to wait 24 hours! These episodes do not influence the story in any way. What you will get from them is romance, a new hairdo or new piece of jewelry or clothing. There is also diamond choices in the bonus episodes as well. So it’s really up to you if you can wait usually I can’t. lol! I have read two bonus episodes. Moonborn it’s okay. My Hollywood Stories this one you get cool rainbow hair.

In the all the choose your own their are plenty to choose from. And there are plenty of people reading them and reviewing them. These are just the ones I like to read. Choices and Romance Club are my favorite right now. Choices was my first choose you own. Also never had a problem with them.

Let’s face it I am not going to like all the stories in any of these apps. Some stories I use just to get the diamonds and that is okay. It’s just like a real book you gonna love it, hate or it was just okay. That is how it is. Like I said before apps can either make you want to read them or dis guard them. I know as soon as I read all the stories in LoveStruck I will only come back for updates which is fine by me. For Choices I visit everyday and love the updates for their stories. I can’t wait to read my favorites. Romance Club in between months I gather diamonds and reread the stories to get the best possible story line I want.


Customer Service

We all have been there had great customer service to shit customer service.

I have been thinking about Customer Service lately because lately I have gotten some great service and some really shitty service. One great thing about the internet you can write a compliant to whatever company. I don’t write a compliant unless I have too. What I mean is I don’t go around writing companies just because.

There is this restaurant that not very near to us but we like to go sometimes. For one the prices are not bad for what you get. This is a diner I would say because if they fill your coffee non stop it’s diner. Funny! Anyways our waitress didn’t fill my coffee non stop like all the other times we have been there however it wasn’t a big deal. She still took it off our bill. That is customer service! She didn’t have too it wasn’t a big deal but it was still nice.

Eos has awesome customer service! I love Eos products. I had bought a lip balm that was clear and it broke in half. So disappointing. Along with picture, wrote an email to Eos. Within the week of sending in the mail I got some great coupons! I couldn’t believe how many I got. I got two free Eos products and three coupons for a dollar off any Eos product. So I got two free shaving creams and three lips balms for a dollar off. I wasn’t expecting this and it was so fast!

The Post Office. Yes the post office! Terrible in my town. Unless you are Jeff he always gets respect there but not me. It’s always 50/50. Either they are nice or they are such bitches to me. For a whole week no mail. The post office never left a note saying they couldn’t get to our mailbox they just stop delivering mail which I would have been fine with. Mostly junk anyways. However I was expecting some packages and they stop delivery on that as well. So Jeff called and they said no delivery till our mailbox was clear. I was like no notice! I never had that. We lived all over our town and has always have a notice. Like we can’t get to your mailbox or you need a new mailbox, etc.

When I went that weekend to get the mail. The lady was a bitch to me for really no reason. Why me? What did I do? I am always polite to them. She made a rude comment and rolled her eyes at me. What is this high school? Also she threw the packages towards me on the counter. What if I had fragile stuff in them? Really uncalled for. There was so many packages that I couldn’t carry them and asked if could come back. More attitude! After my last trip I got have a nice day.

This time I had enough of how they treat me there. I wrote a complaint to the Post Office. That was uncalled for and the notice would have been nice. I got an email today actually since it happened on Saturday. Really fast and the Post Master wrote me. I feel important. The true test is when I have to go to the post office and see how am treated. The email was very nice and it was fast. That’s customer service.

An website that has great customer service is Flamingtext.com Seriously it only took two days! It might have taken one but I am horrible at tech stuff. I couldn’t download the image for some reason. I FB messaged them and they went to work right away! I couldn’t believe it. I was really happy the results and will continue to use them.

On going customer service makes me reevaluate how I feel about product or a service. I finally wrote an email to LoveStruck even though why even have other means to contact them if eventually you have to email them? That doesn’t make any sense. It has been four days of going back and forth with them. It’s really making think differently on this app. Just because of the way I have been waiting for a problem to be resolved and it’s not even a huge problem. If they can’t fix this problem what else can’t they fix? I think of the money thing. Wait for however long on a money problem I would be super pissed if this was the case. They are lucky it’s a minor problem and not money.

It’s a hearts problem and them not counting towards a challenge. I have had enough of it not counting. I don’t know why they can’t just fix this. I also expect more than what I would have gotten from the challenge just because of all this back and forth with them. We will see what the end result if they don’t fix it or do not give me more than I would have earned. Then that’s it. I will just read the stories and never pay for this app again. That is my ultimatum for this app.

For the first time ever I had jealously rage! I have never had jealously rage before so I was surprised when I had it. It’s kinda silly now that I think of it but yeah I had it.

This is what has been going on. Soon we are starting the adoption process. So been talking about this since last year. My sister asks you when you guys start the process. The honest truth we have to pay into taxes this year and it sucks! That’s what we need to start but we have figured it out to do both. It’s nice we don’t have to pay taxes till April so that gives us some lee-way on when to pay for things.

My sister starting saying what if I was your surrogate. At first I was like no way! Then as Jeff and I discussed it, I considered it. Jeff looked up what that would cost and SHOCKED! It costs as much as adoption. Then what if it doesn’t work have to pay again and again. No thanks.

I don’t understand where was everyone about two to three years ago? Or when I was in my twenties. All of sudden I talk about adoption and those two Jeff and my sister talking alternatives. That pissed me off.

Here is jealously rage. My sister was talking she could use her egg and Jeff’s sperm and carry the baby. OH HELL NO! ACTIVATE JEALOUSY RAGE! Jeff is my guy! Yeah that is what my brain was thinking sounds ridiculous now, and I understand that. I get that she would give up all rights to the baby and all of the other stuff it comes with. But the thought of her DNA and Jeff’s really made have jealously rage! All I can say is I am only human.

I took me awhile to decide. So I decide to look at alternatives to get pregnant etc but still do adoption. I just so want a child so badly.

Valentine’s Day

In the beginning the week I didn’t forget about Valentine’s Day. I thought of a romantic comedy to watch Love Actually. I have seen it already but Jeff wanted to see it. Then Valentine’s Day came and I forgot about it. Lol! That’s how much I care about Valentine’s Day.

Anyways we watched Love Actually. I forgot a lot about that movie so it was good to watch again. Jeff said he liked it. I forgot how much nudity is in that movie. Lol!

Helen sent me a great birthday presents! She is always so thoughtful.

Disney on ice

Mom, Bree and I were supposed to see Disney on ice on Sunday but somehow mom got the wrong tickets and we missed it. I was disappointed because I really wanted to see this. I have no idea how mom ordered the wrong tickets.

Then she said she would try to find other tickets and she did! We saw Disney on ice on Saturday instead of Sunday which it worked out because Sunday it was very snowy out.

Now I know this is made for kids. However I didn’t like the first half of the show. It was the retelling of Frozen. I was disappointed on that because I wanted to see more princesses. Even my niece said the same thing and she is eight.


I did like the second half. It was more of the Disney that I know. Like the Lion King, Aladdin and Mulan which my mom and Bree didn’t know who that was! Lol! The dragon was cool. However my favorite was Toy Story. The toy soldiers were neat to see. It was a good time to spend with mom and Bree.

I gave up being sick this week and went to the doctor. I am glad I did! They gave me some good medicine and that day I started to feel better. The doctor told me I had junkie lungs. LOL! Meaning mucus in the lungs which I have asthma so that made since to me.

So…I got a blood blister on my tongue the other night. I didn’t even know that could happen! Was eating and I bit my tongue. No big deal. Then I felt my tongue swell and I looked and there was a blood blister on my tongue! I didn’t know what to do. The internet says do not pop. So I called my mom and my mom says pop it. Mom says to either bite it or stick a needle in it after sanitizing it. She said since I was on antibiotics anyways for my sickness that it would take care of any infection on the tongue if there were to be any.

Jeff suggested putting ice there till was numb. So I did that then I popped it with a needle. Jeff was freaking out! LOL! That I popped it with a needle. I am glad I did though. Now it’s not there and can’t even tell there was anything there. It didn’t hurt when I popped it and it doesn’t hurt now. What adventures I have.

I am going to see Disney on Ice with my mom and Bree on Sunday. I don’t know why but I really want to see this. I grew up watching Disney so I just a big kid sometimes. I think it will be fun.

Ugh! I have been sick! I have never had a sore throat like I did a few days ago in my life! Unfortunately I got Jeff sick. I feel bad about that.

Our weather doesn’t help either. Now it isn’t as cold as it was but we have rain which is turning to ice. Why do we live here again? A question I ask every winter.

Oh it has been so cold in Wisconsin for the last few days. During the day it has been -15F. Then I got sick. My asthma is terrible and it feels like I have the flu. Been taking my medicine but it’s my throat it has been terribly sore. Ugh!

Tex never sleeps there by himself but he is thinking it’s warm over there.


Scotty has the right idea. Curl up with Jeff.

It was so cold that Jeff had two days off of work and basically everything was closed.

Today it is warm 2F. Heat wave! LOL!

This Sunday is the Superbowl! Of course we are going to watch. I want the Rams to win. Also Maroon 5 is the half time. I know they are going to put on a show. It will be fun to watch.

Oh man it’s cold now! Look at all the snow we got over night!

During the day it has been 0 or in the negatives. I hate WI winter!

Last Sunday we celebrated my dad’s 64th birthday it was fun. We all went over to my parent’s house. We had pizza and Jeff made red velvet cake with his own frosting. I admit the cake was good but I didn’t care for the frosting and Jeff agreed.

Excited! While at my parents house I discuss going to Disney on Ice with my mom and who ever wanted to go. It’s going to be my mom, Bree and me. I am excited to go. I haven’t seen one of those things since I was a kid. It will be in February.

It’s been so freaking cold out. Negatives at night. Ugh I hate winter in January. My toes are finally healing! Yay! I can move them a little. Wearing shoes still suck though.

Last week was fun. April came over on Tuesday till Wednesday. We had fun. We watched The Greatest Showman. It was really good and I liked the music in it.

I was skeptical about Reiki. However April has been studying it and I have to say is WOW! She did it on Scotty when she was over and I have never seen Scotty act that way before. He was super chill and wanted April not to stop. It was awesome! I have seen a change when Scotty wakes up in the morning he doesn’t act like he is stiff.

On Thursday mom came over with Bree. Bree smashed her thumb in a door. It looked bad. So she didn’t go to school. We went out to eat, went shopping and had coffee. It was a good day!
