Happy Anniversary

Yesterday Jeff and I celebrated 10 years of marriage!

We went on a date and it was great. We went to Long Horn in Green Bay to celebrate.

Jeff got me my favorite flowers Carnations! There is a Carnation for every year we have been married. He’s so good at that stuff.

I got Jeff a five square picture of us. I would take a pic but it’s very reflective.

Happy Birthday America!

Today America is 241 years old!

Saturday we celebrated the 4th. It was fun to see some family I don’t normally see. I got to see my Aunt Jeanne as she lives in Florida and Alice and family. I gave her the blanket and she loved it. Also got to see little Zarah she is super cute! She is one now so she has so many faces! She was giving me attitude, it was great! She would also smiles at me.

Here are the cupcakes we made for the get together:

They were good and only had 2 left when we left.

This time I didn’t play poker but Jeff did. We brought 20 dollars and he only played with 2 dollars! That’s great because they played for 3 hours.

The reason I didn’t play is I wanted to talk to everyone. It was nice catching up.

Independence Day

July 4th this year is on a Tuesday. It’s strange it’s right in the week, couldn’t be a Friday. Since it’s in the week we are celebrating on Saturday but no fireworks this year as it at my parent’s house this year.

Jeff and I are in charge the dessert. I will show you next week what we come up with. I told everyone it will be something red, white and blue. Like years ago Jeff and I made 96 cupcakes and it was too look like the flag. Guess how many people ate? Maybe 15 that is ridiculous yet everyone talks about when we made those. So yeah not going to make that again and if we do cupcakes not that many ever again.

This Saturday I get to see Alice! I am excited to see her. I made her that blanket, I can’t wait to give it to her.

Ha! I put on the couch strangely.  The second picture you can hide things in the blanket. I accidentally made it way to big. I guess she can share. Ha!

As always I am sure we will play poker with the uncles. Please let me win. Ha!

I’ll have to say Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays as an adult.

Life

Easter was fun! I wasn’t sure if it would be because…family but it was. There wasn’t as many people as I thought was going to be there. The only siblings that were there was Kim, Corey and Crayne. I thought for sure Chrissy and family would be there but no. So only one little kid and they weren’t there for all that long. Oh one thing Kim complained how hard her life is to my mom! That is the last person anyone should complain about married life with.

Kim complained that she can’t always be superwoman she needs superman. I was laughing in my head when she said that. The only reason she was complaining is because my mom asked when she gets to see them again since they live closer now. That is when she said that. My mom got in her face a bit about not complaining about it because really there is nothing to compare. My mom had three sometimes four kids at home while my dad worked all the time and most of the time wasn’t in the same state, Kim has one kid and Corey works a bit around the state but the same state.

Other than that it was good so see the uncles and aunts and of course Jared. We played poker like always and Jared and I were ripping on each other. It was fun! I was the only one who lost but that is okay. I also got to look at old pictures, I like looking at old pictures of family. I got to show Jeff my grandparents so that as cool.

I made some more things with my loom. I saw these grips for the hooks and had to try and make them. I found the tiny rubber bands at the dollar tree. I can buy 500 of them for a dollar. I love the Dollar Tree!

The idle loom would be the straight one but didn’t have that one. So I use two of my looms to make it. It’s sort of a pain because no grooves one the outside of the loom as hard to get the rubber band over to knit it. I ended up just grabbing it with my fingers to do that part.

I totally love these grips and so easy to make! I do a have a bit of arthritis in my hands and these make it easier on them to knit. Now I want to make them for all my crochet hooks. Back to the Dollar Tree I go.

Time for another dog picture.

Koko is pondering with his head on his arm. Too funny!

Happy Easter

Today is Easter. We are going go my parent’s house today. Also my mom had surgery on her foot. She had a large tear and it had to be fixed. This will be the first time we see her with her boot. I wonder if she got a cart or crutches? I guess she got some good painkillers so I know she will be a little spacey.

It will be fun to see the family, I assume. Either way I know we will have good food.

Happy Birthday!

It’s here again!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Happy Birthday to me! I am thirty four years old today!

I don’t feel thirty four in fact I didn’t even feel like I was thirty three. That’s okay. Funny sometimes I forget how old I am.  Hears to another year on the planet. I made it!

Monday I will share some pics and the things I did for my birthday. Also I can’t wait till March twenty first! April and I are going to see Beauty and the Beast for my birthday. It will be fun!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day and even though I don’t celebrate let’s face it a lot of people do. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am a getting a little nervous as my eye surgery is this Thursday but still excited to get it. I still can’t believe it’s only going to take 10 minutes! That is crazy to me. I already got all my drops. I have to take four different kinds. At least it’s not nose spray something I really don’t like. Ha!

Last year on Netflix I watched a documentary on bull riding called Fearless. It was how Brazilians got into the sport and focused on just Brazilian riders. I found it to be very interesting. So that spark an interest in bull riding. It’s strange because I have always wanted to go to a rodeo. Just never thought of bull more horse. Now I put that on my list of things I need to see. I would love to go and see some of the favorites. Isn’t that funny! I have favorites.

Right now I have favorite bull riders and I just learn that you can have some favorite bulls. It’s just not the rider it’s the animal as well. I think that is cool! Here are the bull riders I like and really no order: Cody Nance, JB Mauney, Joao Ricardo Vieria and Guilherme Marchi. I think Guilherme Marchi is fun to watch because he is so positive regardless if he wins or loses.

Talking of sports I really can’t wait for NASCAR! Not sure who I am going to root for yet. I am not a huge fan of NASCAR but I do like watching it. I am actually excited to watch.

Another Year Finished!

Wow what a year!

I feel that I have grown as a person this year. My mind has changed on how I feel about people and my life.

This blog is like my therapy. Every time I write I feel better about whatever I am feeling. I like looking back and remembering good or bad.

This year I succeeded and failed on my goals. Ha! I lost and gained and lost and gained weight. I did write more of my story but didn’t get as far as I would have liked too. What I am proud of is I haven’t had any soda this year. What I have noticed is my teeth do not hurt as much and I do believe it was drinking all that soda. Also the end of the year no teeth problems which I usually have. I made a good decision on the soda.

2017 Goals

Lose weight that is an always thing. This year going to try hard. Jeff even said he is going to really try this year. It’s better to lose weight with someone.

Still on the quest on getting pregnant. If I don’t look as it as an adventure it can be depressing. So many appointments and such.

Work more on being positive. I failed a few times this year and want to get better at it.

Not caring. Sound cruel but I want to not care about the past so much. It happened and move on sort of thing. Sometimes I dwell there in pass events and I can’t change it so why worry about it? Can be hard to change the mind but I am going to try and work on this.

And of course get really far on my story. Come on brain!

Anyway I hope this year is a good year.

Goodbye 2016. Hello 2017.

Christmas

Christmas Eve  wasn’t too bad this year!

Adam, Ken, Elena, my mom and dad came over during the day. The guys watched football while us girls talked away. It was fun and we ate really good food. Jeff made chili, queso dip, pumpkin pies and peanut butter with Hershey kisses in the middle cookies. He was a busy man the day before Christmas. He did all the cooking while I did all the cleaning and making our house look good.

Adam fell asleep during the game. We could hear him in the kitchen. Funny!

That is Kaela and the gift I stitched Jeff framed turned out awesome!

So happy Adam came home for Christmas. I miss him.

We all got Packer hats for Christmas. We gave dad a shareholder hat, Jeff got me a hat and Jeff got one for himself and Adam just had one. Great picture!

My friend Helen gave some great stuff this year! She made me the gloves and scarf. I love all these gifts from her.

Christmas Day we went to my cousin’s Bruce’s house. He has what they call an Open House. Basically a huge get together with their family and friends and loads of drinking. We never go and this year I decided we were going. I wanted to see Alice’s baby! Funny. I got to hold her it was awesome. We saw Bruce and Julie’s house and wow what a gorgeous house! They finished the basement and that is where we were. It was nice to see everyone and we didn’t stay all that long. I think over two hours was good and it was strange but we were one of the first one there. It started to get crowded when we left so perfect timing.

I hope next year goes as smoothly as this year.

Merry Christmas

It’s that time again!

Today Adam, Kaela and my parents are coming over. Adam, Jeff and my dad are going to watch the Packers while Kaela, myself and my mom are going to play games. Jeff made chili and queso! Yum! He also made pumpkin pie and I made peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses in the middle. There is good food and share it with the people I love.

Later we will go to Chrissy’s house and exchange gifts. It will be good to drink and eat good food.

Jeff got me two gifts this year. One I asked for and one he got me.

I asked for my hair to get colored and cut. I did this on last Friday the 16th. Surprised my mom gifted me 20 dollars off my hair cut. That was a nice of her.

Jeff got me a Keurig hot! He also got me a K-cup sampler pack. So now I can try other coffees. That was so nice of him.

I got him a powered subwoofer. It’s really cool!

Merry Christmas!
