Happy Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day and even though I don’t celebrate let’s face it a lot of people do. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am a getting a little nervous as my eye surgery is this Thursday but still excited to get it. I still can’t believe it’s only going to take 10 minutes! That is crazy to me. I already got all my drops. I have to take four different kinds. At least it’s not nose spray something I really don’t like. Ha!

Last year on Netflix I watched a documentary on bull riding called Fearless. It was how Brazilians got into the sport and focused on just Brazilian riders. I found it to be very interesting. So that spark an interest in bull riding. It’s strange because I have always wanted to go to a rodeo. Just never thought of bull more horse. Now I put that on my list of things I need to see. I would love to go and see some of the favorites. Isn’t that funny! I have favorites.

Right now I have favorite bull riders and I just learn that you can have some favorite bulls. It’s just not the rider it’s the animal as well. I think that is cool! Here are the bull riders I like and really no order: Cody Nance, JB Mauney, Joao Ricardo Vieria and Guilherme Marchi. I think Guilherme Marchi is fun to watch because he is so positive regardless if he wins or loses.

Talking of sports I really can’t wait for NASCAR! Not sure who I am going to root for yet. I am not a huge fan of NASCAR but I do like watching it. I am actually excited to watch.

Another Year Finished!

Wow what a year!

I feel that I have grown as a person this year. My mind has changed on how I feel about people and my life.

This blog is like my therapy. Every time I write I feel better about whatever I am feeling. I like looking back and remembering good or bad.

This year I succeeded and failed on my goals. Ha! I lost and gained and lost and gained weight. I did write more of my story but didn’t get as far as I would have liked too. What I am proud of is I haven’t had any soda this year. What I have noticed is my teeth do not hurt as much and I do believe it was drinking all that soda. Also the end of the year no teeth problems which I usually have. I made a good decision on the soda.

2017 Goals

Lose weight that is an always thing. This year going to try hard. Jeff even said he is going to really try this year. It’s better to lose weight with someone.

Still on the quest on getting pregnant. If I don’t look as it as an adventure it can be depressing. So many appointments and such.

Work more on being positive. I failed a few times this year and want to get better at it.

Not caring. Sound cruel but I want to not care about the past so much. It happened and move on sort of thing. Sometimes I dwell there in pass events and I can’t change it so why worry about it? Can be hard to change the mind but I am going to try and work on this.

And of course get really far on my story. Come on brain!

Anyway I hope this year is a good year.

Goodbye 2016. Hello 2017.

Christmas

Christmas Eve  wasn’t too bad this year!

Adam, Ken, Elena, my mom and dad came over during the day. The guys watched football while us girls talked away. It was fun and we ate really good food. Jeff made chili, queso dip, pumpkin pies and peanut butter with Hershey kisses in the middle cookies. He was a busy man the day before Christmas. He did all the cooking while I did all the cleaning and making our house look good.

Adam fell asleep during the game. We could hear him in the kitchen. Funny!

That is Kaela and the gift I stitched Jeff framed turned out awesome!

So happy Adam came home for Christmas. I miss him.

We all got Packer hats for Christmas. We gave dad a shareholder hat, Jeff got me a hat and Jeff got one for himself and Adam just had one. Great picture!

My friend Helen gave some great stuff this year! She made me the gloves and scarf. I love all these gifts from her.

Christmas Day we went to my cousin’s Bruce’s house. He has what they call an Open House. Basically a huge get together with their family and friends and loads of drinking. We never go and this year I decided we were going. I wanted to see Alice’s baby! Funny. I got to hold her it was awesome. We saw Bruce and Julie’s house and wow what a gorgeous house! They finished the basement and that is where we were. It was nice to see everyone and we didn’t stay all that long. I think over two hours was good and it was strange but we were one of the first one there. It started to get crowded when we left so perfect timing.

I hope next year goes as smoothly as this year.

Merry Christmas

It’s that time again!

Today Adam, Kaela and my parents are coming over. Adam, Jeff and my dad are going to watch the Packers while Kaela, myself and my mom are going to play games. Jeff made chili and queso! Yum! He also made pumpkin pie and I made peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses in the middle. There is good food and share it with the people I love.

Later we will go to Chrissy’s house and exchange gifts. It will be good to drink and eat good food.

Jeff got me two gifts this year. One I asked for and one he got me.

I asked for my hair to get colored and cut. I did this on last Friday the 16th. Surprised my mom gifted me 20 dollars off my hair cut. That was a nice of her.

Jeff got me a Keurig hot! He also got me a K-cup sampler pack. So now I can try other coffees. That was so nice of him.

I got him a powered subwoofer. It’s really cool!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Halloween!

coollogo_com-201063501

Today is Halloween!

Tonight Jeff and I will watch a scary movie. I decided this year that I will pick the scary movie for Halloween since Jeff sucks at it and he doesn’t really watch them. Funny! This year it’s Babadook. It was hard trying to find one since I watch a lot of scary movies to find one that I haven’t seen. We usually eat pizza but tonight we are going chicken.

Since it’s Halloween I thought I would tell real ghost stories.

First I would like to say yes I have seen ghost. The first time I saw a ghost is when I was baby. Of course I don’t remember it but my mom likes to tell that story. We were in her bedroom maybe she was changing me but I was old enough to talk. I asked mom who was that lady over there. My mom said she looked in the corner then asked me “What woman?” Scared the shit out of her.

Yes even at a young age I could feel them. Not all the time but sometimes. The house I grew up in not that one with the woman but a different one. I swear there was a ghost that lived in one of the rooms. It was my older brother’s room then my mom’s craft room. I did think it was a man who lived there a very long time ago. I could feel his present there and even my mom said she thought it was a guy ghost too. He was friendly because I wasn’t scared of him.

When I was in the fifth grade I had to have back surgery. While I was recovering and my mom said it was the drugs they put me on but I don’t believe her. I saw ghosts and a whole lot of them. They had different kinds of clothes on from different period of times standing around my bed. They were all smiling at me and touching me in a enduring way. I felt like they were all my past relatives wishing me well.

When Jeff and I moved to this small town we rented a house. The basement scared me always! There was a room down there where the washer and dryer used to be. Another thing creepy about that room was all these drawers in the wall it looked strange. I tried my hardest to keep away from that room and it was below our bedroom. Now Jeff at the time didn’t believe in ghost. However I was watching TV and Jeff was sleeping the vent in the floor pop out of the floor and landed away from the hole. No there is no possible way someone can pop the vent in fact sometimes those are hard to get out of the carpet. Scared the shit out of him! Now he believes in ghost. I was happy when we moved.

Here is the scariest! We moved to a little house and I always felt something there but it didn’t scare me at first. The strange part I always felt in our bedroom but just figured it was a friendly like the guy in my childhood home. One night I went to bed and I figured that Koko would let me know if something was wrong. Thinking they can see them more then we at this time we only had Koko too. I went to bed and was sleeping when I saw it! I open my eyes and this shadowy figure came towards me. The figure reached out for me and loomed over me that is when I screamed! It scared the shit out of me! That is when I started to cry and Jeff practically jumped out of bed! Jeff said good thing he didn’t have the gun out he would have shot up the wall. He didn’t see it but I told him I want out of this house! Living in that house with that thing was awful the feeling of dread in our bedroom was awful. When we did move it was a sigh of relief.

To date that was the scariest ghost I have encountered. I would be okay if I never see a scary ghost again. The ones that don’t bother me or are friendly that is fine.

Time to complete my marathon of scary movies.

Boo! 2014. Amazon Prime. This movie is cheesy yet can be scary. I like the story line of this one. Not super scary but enough and there are some jump scares. Four young people go to a mental asylum that is abandoned on Halloween. What could go wrong? I love in the beginning one of the women states that they are the those people who are the dumb ones that are going to find out. True. This deserves a four.

The Last House on Cemetery Lane. 2015. Netflix. Skip this one. Boring maybe a couple of jump scares. The plot line is overdone and the end is no surprise. A writer goes to a house on holiday to get away from it all to write. He has nightmares that are supposedly scary. They are not. One for this one.

The Rohl Farms Haunting. 2015. Amazon Prime. I am not that much into real footage movies because of motion sickness. However I thought I would give this a try. It’s not really all that scary and can be boring in parts. I thought it was okay but I hate how they didn’t explain anything. Like the mask people why are they there? Why did they want these two guys? More questions then scary. However it wasn’t super horrible so I give it a three.

Battle of the Undead. 2013. Amazon Prime. Not a bad zombie movie and not the greatest. Soldiers go to Lebanon to find a man to bring back alive. When they get there, there are zombies. This movie is not in English but it’s dubbed over. The voice actors are not that bad either. Who will back it back? The ending was not bad but like I said not the greatest. The zombies were not bad looking either. This deserves a three.

The Guard Post. Korean. 2008. Amazon Prime. This movie is in Korean so subtitles. However it was great! It’s a long movie but worth a watch. Soldiers at a post are dying but why? They send another team to go in to find the first one and the first scene we see is a crazy solider with an axe and soldiers parts everywhere! A bloody mess! A mystery virus are causing soldiers to kill each other then not remember doing it. Where did this virus come from and why is this happening? They are not zombies as we know zombies but technically zombies in a different mental way. I loved this movie. This movie is a five.

Bunker of the Dead. 2016. Amazon Prime. Finally a zombie movie to watch! Unfortunately this movie is in first person. I have a feeling most movies are going to go this way. Bad for people like me who get motion sickness. I had to watch this movie in two nights however it isn’t bad to keep up. This is about two guys, one guy is wearing a suit and cameras as in first person. The second guy who I have to say has a pleasant voice is the navigator. The first guy goes to a bunker that hasn’t been touched since World War II and they are trying to find gold. But what they find are Nazis zombies which are very well done. They also find a strange tank of the future maybe? Also an alien. The guy who is in the bunker is German as well and somehow can talk to the zombies and alien because he is German. Best zombie movie I have come across in a while. This is a five!

That concludes it. Happy Halloween!

Happy Anniversary

Today Jeff and I have been married for nine years. It’s so cool! I guess we are strange and do not do the gift thing. My gift is steak. I love to eat steak. We get each other so many things throughout the year that when it comes to special occasions it’s like what do you want? We are funny.

Wow nine years! This is amazing which next year it will be ten. We are thinking next year to drive to Portland and on the way seeing some sites along the way.

I think through the years that I love Jeff even more. I love how we are now then in the beginning. Before Jeff I really didn’t have a long term relationship before not years anyway and Jeff was the same. It was a big learning curve for me and the whole comprise thing was hard for me to do at first. But now we both comprise on things and there isn’t this rift that happens. Also Jeff and I rarely fight. I mean we never really did that before but it was  more of stupid fights before but now it rarely happens. So when it does happens it’s funny afterwards because of the rarity.

Maybe it’s strange that I do everything with Jeff and we go everywhere together. But who else would want to spend that much time with me? lol! Jeff does and I want too with Jeff. Jeff says we remind him of his parents. I agree. His mom and dad were the same. They did everything and went everywhere together always.

I think the key to us being together is we talk about everything. There are no secrets no need to lie we chat every day about anything. It’s great! On top of that there is no his way or her way. We always come to agreement about whatever it is. And admitting when we are wrong. Yes I admit that I am wrong. Every day we laugh about something as well.

I know in my heart that I made the right decision marrying Jeff. Love him so much!

Happy Birthday!

coollogo_com-208185992Today it’s Jeff’s 40th birthday!

Today Jeff’s dad Ken and Elena are coming over to celebrate. They said they want to take him out to dinner where ever or whatever he wants. Hmmm what would Jeff choose? Kidding! Of course pizza. Jeff is a pizza fiend.  We are ordering Pizza Hut and having cake later.

I can’t believe Jeff is 40. He said he can’t either. I remember cerebrating his 30th with him. In fact it I remember well. I think I remember so well because I was nervous being with his parents as I have only met them a couple of times before. I remember his mom making a big deal about his birthday the way it should be. I remember my mom making a big deal on birthday now not so much.  Every year Jeff’s mom would make a deal about it. Jeff would get a bunch of birthday cards in the mail from her and emails as well. It was cool.

I can’t believe it has been ten years already that is crazy how time goes so fast.

Rick Grimes turned out to be awesome! I am so happy with it and I got it done in time.  We have place here in town that makes glass to size. Jeff did the framing as he always does a good job at it. Happy birthday babe! I love you!

Independence Day

coollogo_com-157392300

Yesterday was Independence Day but that isn’t the reasons I didn’t write you. I was lazy. That’s it just laziness.

Anyway we celebrated the fourth on the second. Jeff and I didn’t get to my uncle’s place about sixish because first it doesn’t get dark till about nine or nine thirty. Also we have dogs we can’t have them go for a long time without going potty. I was surprised how many people were there not many. It was Jeff and I, my parents, my cousin and her husband and two sets of uncles and aunts. Usually there are a lot more then that! I am happy about.

Jeff and I ate before we got there because every time we go there, there isn’t enough food. So when we got there was enough food. What?! Since I have been little there has never been enough food for everyone and this time there is? Strange. Oh well.

Every time we go to my Uncle Paul’s house there is always a poker game. I don’t always want to play but the alternative is playing dominoes which is okay. Why can’t we just hang out? So I played poker and so did Jeff. We don’t just play regular poker games we play Koehne games. Funny! They are made up and we have been playing for years! Anyway my cousin Jeff not my husband Jeff. He is such a show off. He plays real poker and he tells us this all the time. When it’s his turn he most of the time plays a game I never heard of which always has a ton of rules. Instead of asking a million times for the instructions I play for a little bit then fold. Why not just have fun Jeff? Also in his life he is a show off too. You know these people who put a ton of stuff on their FB page.

Later in the night Jared came. He is a cool cousin and the one to light off all the fireworks for us. It was good day.

Independence Day

coollogo_com-157392300

Monday July 4th is our Independence Day. A day that is celebrated by fireworks!

This year is at my Uncle’s farm and that means everyone puts in money to get fireworks. Jeff loves to pick them out so they give us the money and we put in too. We had three hundred dollars to spend. Of course we bought fireworks on the hottest day last week. We even have a place we love to go too because the guy who runs the firework place gives us extra firework. This time he gave us at least or more then fifty dollars worth of fireworks.

One year we went to the place that has a gorilla on the outside. If you ever seen one those you know what I mean. They sucked! We spent three hundred dollars and got nothing free. I also thought they were more expensive and didn’t have the knowledge either. Just there to sell fireworks.

Anyway the place is called fireworksfree.com. The guy who runs it super knowledgeable. He told us several times that he is passion about it. I believe him and we will definitely going back in the next three years. I wish every year but not everyone in my family likes fireworks. Him and his wife were very nice and they have a huge selection of fireworks. I am super impressed.

This year the fourth lands on a Monday so we are celebrating at the second. I am going to try and take some video and I will share later. Oh it’s going to be awesome!

Easter

coollogo_com-262083262Happy belated Easter everyone.

Easter wasn’t too bad this year. It wasn’t a gob of people at my mom’s house which is what I like. It was my Aunt Sue, Aunt Joanne, Uncle Dan, Uncle Paul, Jared, Corey, Kim and Crayne. Crayne is a good kid and doesn’t really fuss like the other two kids. He was funny during dinner because he had an audience. Silly kid.

I always enjoy seeing Aunt Sue she is different and I like that. She always has funny stories and she is Alice’s mom. So when I write Alice I like to tell her about what her mom shares with us. I have to share this warning gross. Aunt Sue shared with us she doesn’t like brushing her teeth and for years she didn’t. Yet she has good teeth. First how does that work? Secondly gross. The look on my Aunt Joanne’s face was priceless. The horror look so was funny.

Depending on the mood of Aunt Joanne she can either be pleasant or not. This Easter she was pleasant when I see her in July she may not be. We had a good conversation about nothing.  However finally found out what her daughter Kathy’s boyfriend’s rap name is Heck Da Kid. Jeff and I listened to the only song he was out there on YouTube called Irregular. I would say I am not a huge rap fan but I do like some rap artists and I thought his song was good.

Corey and family left after dinner. Like always Kim didn’t give Jeff a hug goodbye. What is up with that?

I tried hard to play games with mom because she wanted to but ended up not understanding them and talking so I gave up. Oh well.

All in all a good time.
