Senzig’s

coollogo_com-130404674

Last month we had to get a new chair. Jeff and I have these two recliner chairs we got when my grandpa died. These chairs are older than me! I remember them when I was growing up. They are green.

Well is finally bit dust and we needed to get another chair for him. I had a blue recliner that finally died before his green one did. That blue chair was a Lazyboy and my mom had it first. She had that a little after I was born also another old chair.

Now I sit in my grandparent’s green chair. But we don’t have any other furniture to sit on. We decided to check out Senzig’s because it’s in our town. We have lived here for five years and never been there. It is huge inside! We found a chair that he liked but it was expensive.

The green chairs cost us nothing and the blue chair cost us nothing. It was a little over eight hundred dollars with tax good thing for credit cards. They delivered it and the guys were really friendly and even got this:

We are sitting and watching TV on Sunday night October 10 2015  and we boom! Jeff starts sinking on one side of his chair. Broken! We only had it less than a week! Jeff called them on Monday.

Here is the fiasco we had to go through with them. First he calls and they say we will send someone over to look at it. Fine. Also on Monday we had the chimney people come over to inspect our chimney because in our new house we have a fireplace. That is why Jeff was home for work in the morning.

Senzig’s guy comes over and looks at it. Of course he can’t find anything wrong with because the bottom is all covered and stapled. He does some bolt tightening which did nothing. Basically he came over for nothing and did nothing.

Jeff called again and said what my options are. We want to return it and get our money back. They said they can come over. Jeff tells them to call me because I am home and he had to go to work.

We decided to get the dogs nails done and go to the groomer which only takes ten minutes and I forgot my phone at home. When we get back I call them. First they say I have to talk to a manger. I talk to her then I said you called me.  She says  “oh  he didn’t know he called you.” Really?! I talked to three different people. Finally they said that they will call when they can come over and pick up the chair.

This part really infuriated me. When I called them I told them I was home all day. I guess that was a mistake. I told them to call or just let me know when they will be by. Fine. Jeff had already left for work.

They didn’t call me. If I didn’t have the dogs I would not have known that someone came to the house. They start barking and I get up to see this guy just standing and looking at our house on the porch. Didn’t ring the doorbell. He was just standing there I could see him. That really pissed me off!

I don’t know this guy and if I didn’t see the truck that had Senzig’s on it. Well it could have gone really wrong for that guy. I thought about grabbing the gun. Yeah we have gun and I know how to use it. He didn’t ring the doorbell and he was looking into our windows. Who does that?

I also thought about letting Koko in from outside and letting him have at it. Koko is super friendly but I was scared. This guy was a lot taller than me and sort of muscular. I am sure if I acted really scared Koko would attack him. I think most dogs would protect their owners even if they are really friendly.

I opened the door thinking of things I could protect myself with and asked ‘can I help you’ snottily’. Then I am like ‘oh’ the Senzig’s truck. Their manger apologized to Jeff. He should have called me and apologized to me for scaring the crap out of me. Poor customer service.

Also if you are a bigger person which Jeff and I are. They are really insulating when you buy furniture there. I was mad at the sales woman but Jeff really wanted this chair. She said that she doesn’t know how much this chair can hold over time. Meaning you are a big person and this chair may break over time. This sale woman was bigger than me. I can’t believe she said that.

The only good thing we got out of the deal is we get all but fifty dollars back.

My recommendation never ever go and shop at Senzig’s. What a shitty furniture store and the shitty customer service. I have never been in a furniture store that treated people like that.

A Couple of Things

coollogo_com-301683739

Yesterday while letting out the dogs to do their business outside.

Scotty this one. He may look innocent but he isn’t.

I was opening the blind and he ran into the glass stepped back hard on my toe and sprain it. Isn’t that great? Being sarcastic. It hurt so badly! Now have to just deal with it because there isn’t anything that can be done to toes. A couple of years ago Koko stepped on my toe and broke it and it’s the same toe the second to last toe on my left foot. I know it’s not broken because I can move it but it’s all swollen and painful. Thanks Scotty. Ugh!

Scotty still not innocent.

Saw an animal on the other side of the fence yard we have at our new house. He pushed his way through the fence and got out. At night we had to go and look for him. Good thing he came back. Still though! Naughty! So we had to re-enforce the fence. Thanks Scotty again!

Funny story. We had to go to the grocery store and this old woman came up to us while we were walking and said “have to let them take the cart so feel like they are in power.” Referring to men. Funny! Then when we were leaving same old woman finds me when Jeff was paying and said “Have to take the change so they have no sense.” Showing me coins. What? It was just so funny! Old people can be silly.

Jeff found a great hutch for my collectibles! I have never had a hutch before but I wanted one because I dislike dusting. He found this hutch Facebook classifieds he only paid a hundred and fifty for it. It so worth way more in a furniture store.

Look all filled:

Get…

coollogo_com-23654405

Hot, sweaty, mad, bossy, whiny, I’m sorry, repeat…

For two weeks this has been the process because we have two houses to clean and move.

You know once you get hot and sweaty anger is close to follow. Jeff and I have been mad at each other for two weeks. When Jeff gets mad he gets bossy. When I get mad I become whiny and I give up quickly. Then later we both say “I’m sorry.” Then forgive. It’s sort of funny once I think about it. But that has been life for two weeks.

We have clean our rented house which is okay but we have to clean up after Jeff’s dad. I thought I was a scatterbrain. Jeff’s dad Ken is a much more of a scatterbrain then me. We was supposed to get a sticker for his furniture but forgot. What to do with a very, very ugly couch and a chair? Good thing Goodwill took it. That couch was so ugly! It was orange and had a flower pots on it. Who thought that was a good design?

Then we had to clean carpets here and there. We realized that the house we rented no one cleaned the carpets! They were so digesting! Ew I walked around in that house for two years in someone else’s filth and I know they had a dog too. Yucky!

I usually don’t mind cleaning because I got a routine down. But cleaning two houses and after three people and two dogs. It was a lot of cleaning don’t really care about that. It’s the house we bought no one cleaned! Cleaning two houses really suck and I mean deep cleaning two houses.

Soon it will be all done. I can’t wait till that happens. I would like to just stay at the house we bought then go back to the rented house.

Soon I keep thinking. Soon!

House

coollogo_com-318525665Working Hard

After signing mounds of paper for our house we went to our house to look around. The last owners didn’t clean anything. It’s gross.

We look at the two bedroom and there are fingerprints and dirt on the walls. We already knew we were going to paint our bedroom. What we didn’t know that we were going to paint the extra bedroom which is going to be the office.

This weekend we painted our bedroom a navy blue. Then we painted the office which was white to a different white. Paint can really make a room.

Guess What?

coollogo_com-175713983

Jeff and I are buying our first house together today! I am so excited.

What I learned there so many things they wanted from us. What people won’t tell how frustrating it can be to buy house.

Thanks to my wonderful husband to getting everything we need to buy our first house together. He did such a wonderful job. I could tell he was frustrated at times but for the most part kept his cool.

After we sign all the papers. I will take pictures and put them on a little later so you can see. Also we are going to paint our bedroom a different color, navy blue with white trim. Right now it’s just white. I can’t wait to move!

8 Years

coollogo_com-7163856Happy Anniversary!

Today Jeff and I have been married for eight years! And we have been together for ten years! That is super awesome!

Wow eight years of marriage. Life is good. I always like the middle of life not really the beginning. I love just knowing Jeff. I love how sometimes he doesn’t have to say anything I know what he is thinking. The same goes for me, he just knows.

Thinking about the beginning. We have been through up and downs. Even in our downs we always find way to climb back up. I would say the hardest down we had I would say it was not being poor because we have been poor. Not my family drama where Jeff is awesome about always takes my side. No none of that I would say when Jeff’s mom died. That was the hardest. Also the hardest I think is Jeff’s dad remarrying. Yes we both like her but she will never be mom. Even though we do see a lot of mom in her, it will never be the same. That was the hardest so far.

Something that Jeff’s mom told me before we got married and I sometimes think about. And I think that it’s’ totally true. She told me that I will know Jeff better than her or his dad. Better than anyone in the world. True and same goes for him knowing me.

Sure we fight but we do not fight often. I like that I can say whatever. Jeff and I have no secrets between us. We talk about everything, I mean everything. We can just be ourselves around each other. It’s great!

This year like every year Jeff is making steak and mash potatoes. I thought it would be fun instead of alcohol to drink. To buy sparkling grape juice. I will take a picture of yummy food and attach when I can.

Happy Anniversary Jeff, I love you!

20150915_180103Yummy!

I’m

coollogo_com-202371401Sick!

Ugh I am sick and it’s all Jeff’s fault. Jeff got sick about five days ago. He said he got it from co-worker. I don’t doubt that but he didn’t have to share with me. We also went to my parent’s house last Saturday and on Sunday dad told me he had Strep throat and it’s contagious. So I just knew I was going to get something.

What’s ironic is early last week, I was thinking no one has gotten sick in a while. Shouldn’t had that thought. Sort of funny.

I just thought I was having allergies for two days. But then I got a sinus infection. I went to Fast Care on September 1 2015. They shouldn’t call that Fast Care because it took them over thirty minutes to see me. They also made me wear a mask. Have you ever worn one of those things? It’s hard to breathe in those and I wear glasses. My breath was fogging up my glasses.

I did have a funny thought while waiting. I was thinking if I had to wear this mask in a zombie apocalypse, I rather be infected. I know funny. All I was left with is my thoughts while waiting. In our Theda Care there isn’t any magazines anymore. Nothing to look at.

I use to be anti-looking at magazines because I would think of all the germs that could be on them. But lately have been thinking I use to look at them in the nineties and I use to love going to the library. What’s the difference now? At least now I have hand sanitizer.

Tuesday I went to Fast Care or Slow Care or hope you don’t die here Care. The doctor I saw was funny. He was all over the place and he talked really, really fast. Which I was trying really hard not to laugh. He got me some good drugs to take. I am hoping I feel better by this weekend.

Sunday September 6 2015 my mom is having a huge Labor Day/Birthday party at her house. We are making dessert. Monday September 7 2015 is Labor Day and it’s a day off.

I need to get better. Who likes being sick? Not me! Stupid sinus infection makes me feel like my head is going to explode. Also I could lead Santa’s sleigh with my nose being so red from blowing. The joys of being sick. Time for a nap. Good night. Zzzzzzzz……….

Happy Birthday

coollogo_com-123071251

August 27, 2015 was Jeff’s birthday! On Wednesday his dad bought us delivery pizza for a present. It’s Jeff’s favorite thing to eat, pizza.

Yesterday Jeff turned (drum roll please) thirty nine! What an old man. Joking! Since Jeff is seven years older than me, I forever can tease him about it.

I can’t believe Jeff is going to forty next year. I remember celebrating his thirty with him. It was great. We were still dating and we celebrated it at his parent’s house. His mom made dinner and cake. Oh his mom would make a big production of Jeff’s birthday and then mine. It was awesome. We got cards in the mail and a lot of e-cards as well. At the time I didn’t think I would miss that. But now that she is gone I wish that still happened.

Thinking of that I sent Jeff a birthday card in the mail. He was surprised and it only took four days to get back to our house. He liked it. I think the little things are the greatest.

Another great thing is Jeff doesn’t look his age. If you look at Jeff you would say thirty three or so. He has such a baby face. But I could gush all day because I love him.

Happy birthday Jeff!

Hanging with April

coollogo_com-16637157Another Adventure with April

On Thursday August 13 2015 I went to hang out with April and sleepover. It’s never a dull moment at her place.

We met at Camella’s in Appleton near the Fox River Mall. I have to say I felt discriminated against. Which I have felt before but not in a restaurant. There is no sign saying you have to dress up and it was a Thursday. I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I did see other in in jeans and t-shirts. But most people where dressed up. April was there with Heidi her sister and her husband Brandon. They were really dressed up but a little nicer than me. One side of the restaurant was really nice then wall and other area. Guess where they seated us? Oh no not near all the nice dressed up people. Nope! The other side of the wall where I fit in with the people in not dressed up clothes.

We waited forever for our waitress to wait on us. The portions were small for what you pay for. We had to wait in the beginning for thirty minutes which is fine but waited twenty minutes between every time our waitress would come by. She never asked how our food was or refill things. The food was okay not great. I felt like because we didn’t look fancy that she treated like we couldn’t afford to eat there. I will never go to Camella’s again and tell the people how they treated us. I thought it was unfair and quite angry about it. Camella’s is near a mall! People don’t dress up to go to the mall. I like trying new places but I don’t like being treated less because of what I wear. And I wasn’t wearing anything offensive. My t-shirt had a tiger on it.

April has new rat babies. And I got to see them. Now she has a variety of colors. Awe they are so cute and I love when they yawn, adds cuteness. She has a rat that is hairless looks like a little alien. Another rat that is lighter in color. Most of April rats have been black and white. She does have two new black and white males. Who fight! It’s funny because I have never seen a rat that fights. They stand on their hind legs and box. It’s funny! But it’s not good that they fight. They fight because they are young. Other than that all her rats are so cute!

What’s funny is that April and I always make plans to what to watch to what we are going to do. And we never do those things. We never watch the movies that we are going to watch or the shows.

April and I wanted to go for a walk but of course the weather was too hot. It’s either too hot or raining out. That night we took out her dog Marty to go potty. And we ended up taking that walk at night. We walked three miles! Average for April not average for Danielle. That was a lot for me. However it was cool to see her town. There is this one part of town that feels like a ghost town. There are people are around in their homes but everything is dead around. It was actually peaceful and we didn’t’ feel like someone was going to hurt us. What’s strange is I felt that way sort of through the regular neighborhood with normal houses.

During the night. We walk to the heart to of the town. Where they have a memorial for the men and women in the military. It was so neat to see the statutes and everyone one’s name who served on plaques. What’s silly is Marty got thirsty and thought the pot lights was water. He was licking the lights in the cement. Funny dog! We had fun even though it was a lot of walking.

During this week we got some writing in. it was great brainstorming with April for her story. We are good at brainstorming ideas. For both days we just talked and laughed. We really didn’t do a whole lot which is still fun. We never run out of things to talk about.

It was fun hanging out with April.

Random Thoughts

coollogo_com-31058125Just some things I have been thinking about lately.

My teeth I have been thinking a lot about them lately. I just had that tooth pulled and it left a huge hole in my mouth. Much bigger than any of the other teeth I had pulled out. Also the dentist said that the tooth died and that is why I was in so much pain. I have never had a tooth die before. She said that it was all black on the inside of the tooth. And it broke into pieces when she was taking it out. I have never had that happen before. Usually it just comes out in one chunk. Since it’s so huge it’s been sore and painful. This tooth has caused months of months of pain and still hurts. Just a different kinds of hurt.

Eating. Since now my mouth mirrors itself. Meaning on the left side of the mouth I am missing two teeth on the bottom. Also on that is side the screw for my crown next month. On the right side of my mouth I am missing two teeth on the top. Eating is horrible. I eat like I do not know how to use my mouth. I try to stay positive about it. Saying well I am on a new diet it’s called I have no teeth to eat food with. But its true chewing is hard when you have no molars to break things up. I mostly use my front teeth. Try eating food with your front teeth.

Money. I think everyone worries about money sometimes. As you know my father in law Ken is engaged. Even though we are happy for him he put us in a position where we are like oh shit what do we do now? We all live in the same house and share rent. But since he only spends four days here and the rest of the week with his fiancé he wanted to have reduce rent. Jeff and I can’t afford this house on our own. This house is one of the more expensive houses to rent in our town as well. Also what is super crappy in this town there isn’t anything to rent EVER!!! It’ so rare to find a house to rent. And when one pops up you almost have to be quick to get it because houses for rent go fast. We can live here it will be a little tight. I wish he would have said can I have reduce rent in like so many months. Not I want reduce rent now. Would have been nice to have that little buffer in between so we could plan better. We are not sure what to do.

I wish I could have one month this year where I don’t have to think about things so much. Being an adult is hard. Sometimes I wish I could be a kid again in the summer. Where I didn’t have to worry about such things. Strange because when I was kid I dreamed of being an adult. Now that I am one, I want to be a kid again.
