I LOVE Kung Fu movies. Sometimes I get in the mood to watch them and technically they are Martial Art Movies. Since I don’t speak any of the languages in them I have to really pay attention so only sometimes I am in the mood to watch them. That time is now. Lol!

I will do scoring of 1-10. 1 being terrible no human should watch this. 10 being great and everyone who loves Kung Fu movies should watch it.

I Googled what to watch because I have seen so many in my lifetime.

Google suggested: The Final Master

The Final Master 8/10. Netflix.The story to me is messed up. I don’t really understand why they put a love interest in here. And really it isn’t a love anyways. All I can think of they wanted to show the Master has a tender side.

Here is a funny the woman says in the beginning she states she won’t be there for sex. Next scene they are having sex. WHAT?! ROFL!

Anyway it they should have eliminated the woman and just focus on the Master finding student to compete against all the other academies. Which look out betrayal! It does have great martial arts in it! I want to be entertained in a story and have the fighting incorporated in it. I didn’t like the end as it just ends. I down grade because of the story and end. However still a good Kung Fu movie.

Killzone 2 9/10. Netflix. This movie may go by another name but in America on Netflix that is what it’s called. I loved this movie! The beginning I don’t like too much. I know they were trying to make the bad guy be hated but really they could have done it better.

The bad guy as soon as he showed up I was like “I know that guy!” Lol! I have seen him in other movies. Of course the Grandmaster! If you do look him up Jin Zhang you will see he has been in a ton of movies!

I gave this movie a high score because of the amount of fight scenes in this movie is plentiful. You don’t have to wait long to see one either. The end fight scene is one of the best! I seriously watched it a couple of times. It’s just so awesome! The story is okay that’s why 9 out of 10. It’s very close to being perfect movie though.

Railroad Tigers 10/10. Netflix. This movie rocks! It’s not as serious as the others. Has some slapstick humor and honestly had me laughing.

Two words JACKIE. CHAN! Jackie Chan is in it. Oh man! I haven’t seen a Jackie Chan movie in a very long time. He can still kick some ass. I love the style of this movie. It has art when it introduces a character. Love it!

In this movie is Chinese and Japanese speaking. It’s so funny how the characters interact when they don’t know what the others are saying. That is a lot of the humor. And it IS funny!

There is fighting on a train. I mean how awesome is that?! It’s awesome! Not all Kung Fu movies need to be serious and this movie doesn’t take it’s self too seriously. Also watch all the way to the end they show bloopers.

Detective Dee the Four Heavenly Kings 9/10. Netflix. I am not always so keen on fantasy Kung Fu movies. However this is a good one. It’s Sherlock and Dr. Watson in this form. Also didn’t know this but this is the latest in it’s series. There are two movies before this one which I have to see now.

This movie has it all monsters, magic and Kung Fu! I love the visuals in this movie as well. It has a mystery of course it has to because it’s loosely based on Sherlock. Of course Detective Dee has to figure it out. This is a great movie!

Master Z: Ip Man Legacy 3/10. Netflix. I don’t care what others think of this movie. This movie is TERRIBLE! I give it a three because of the fighting alone. This movie is piggy backing on Ip Man movies which are incredible! I am a Donnie Yen fan. I have seen most of his movies and the man was in Star Wars. STAR WARS!

This movie is trying too hard and the story is terrible as it’s generic. It’s too bad because Jin Zhang is the main character in this movie. He is a good actor and fighter but this movie doesn’t do his abilities any good.

If you haven’t seen Ip Man 3 GO watch it now! Donnie Yen versus Mike Tyson. Master Z tries the same with a big guy. Ugh as soon as I saw that guy I knew right away that Cheung the main character was going to fight him. Like I said they were trying hard to out live Ip Man in general and it felt flat.

Friday April 19 I got my hair done:

I have never in my entire life had it this straight! Lori said she went to some classes with this new product for people who have curly or frizzy hair and it makes the hair straight. I was her guinea pig. Happy to be. Lol!

I told Lori I wanted something different in terms of color without stripping my hair. She gave me this color and I love it!

Saturday April 20th we picked up April who’s birthday was that day! We rarely celebrate each other’s birthday on the day. We went for brunch and it was fun. I got her English Tea and monarchs of England book. She love it!

Since she wasn’t here for my birthday she got me sonic screwdriver earrings and necklace. Yes! Dr. Who!


Sunday April 21 was Easter!

We had Easter at my parent’s house. Not that many people there this year but that’s okay. It was the first Easter that April came with me. April has cut her family out of her life and it’s about time!

All they do is bring her down and tell her she is useless. She told them early this year she was done with them. She only has contact with her brother and sister in law which is good. It was fun to have her there.

One thing Aunt Joanne got all pissed because Jeff made a cake. It’s just food she made the comment “I wouldn’t have made two cakes if I knew.” In an angry way. It’s food. Someone will eat it. I hate that she gets this way. Guess what everyone ate all the cakes so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Monday April 22 this was April’s last day. We always have fun together. We went out to eat then had coffee at the local coffee shop. We can always pass the time talking and it’s all random.

It was so good to see her. Tex thought so too. He LOVES April. Always wants to play with her and cuddle with her. When April is here, we don’t get Tex she does. Silly dog.

Scotty and I had a great walk on Tuesday of last week.

I have to admit I took some great pics of the lake. Still icy but I love that blue!

Then this happened:

Why is winter here again?! I hate it!

Last Thursday since there was snow. I let Tex out to play in it. When he came up the stairs he slipped and got his front leg caught between the steps. He immediately started to cry. I felt so helpless on what to do. I got him inside and he was crying and limping.

Afterwards he went to take a nap till Jeff came home. Tex being a lab meaning dramatic. Whined and laid on his back crying. Then he got up and put up his leg and cried some more to show Jeff. After that he didn’t cry anymore.

We took him to the vet and found out it’s a sprain. They gave us some pain pills he has to take till gone.

The next day he was limping and all the weekend too. But he seems okay. He’s a puppy so he is acting like a puppy. He gets around on 3 legs fine. I hope soon he will be all better.

47. Lilac Girls

This book mom lent me. It’s great! It’s about three women during WWII. Each how they survived it with their own stories. This was a fast read for me because it was so interesting. I literally couldn’t put it down and when I did. I couldn’t wait to go back to reading it.

It’s tragic, there’s romance and it shows strong women in this novel. How they overcome and really shows the human spirit against the odds.

I like how even though they came from different places around the globe they met each other eventually.

Looks like I didn’t win that writing contest. I really tried though. I am a little sad the money would have gone for adoption. What can I say here but oh well. We’ll figure it out.

Speaking of which the adoption lady finally got back to us. She gave us literally a small book we had to fill out about our childhood. Thinking of my childhood and filling out this questionnaire was okay. Clearly Jeff had an awesome childhood. Which I already know that. I had a pretty good childhood too. His is filled with both parents in his life. While mine is mostly filled with just my mom even though my dad was around. He was such a workaholic though. That means he wasn’t home and away in other states a lot. What I remember the most is he never could remember my birthday. Isn’t that strange?! The one thing that made me remember him not being home is my birthday. I remember him asking mom all the time when it was. My birthday is the easiest March 17th.

What’s sad is one year I got this cool little statue cat with my birth stone in it shaped like a heart. I got it for my birthday and it was from my dad. Later in my life I found out my mom picked it out and all the gifts dad has ‘given’ me. Which really I should have realize that. I feel sorta of dumb that I didn’t figure that out. Only that mom let it slip one year that she picked it out and wrapped it.

Also mine is filled with trying to please my dad like joining a lot of sport teams. This girl isn’t a sports girl. I sucked at every sport I tried to play just so my dad would be happy. Ugh! Looking back I understand the why but he didn’t come to a lot of the games. It was for nothing.

But as an adult now my dad and I have a good relationship. And it seems Jeff is the opposite with his dad. That is sad to think about.

Next on the list of adoption we are going to have our first home visit.

March 31st celebrated Scotty’s birthday! He turned 11. Wow I can’t believe he is 11 already! Where did the time go? We gave him puppy ice cream his favorite flavor peanut butter. Also Tex got some it was his first time. He was actually slower than Scotty to eat it. That was surprising. Cute pics of our fur baby!

Lately I have been watching movies. I watched the most boring stupidest movie. The Nutcracker and the four realms. Now I like the Nutcracker and wow the story was dumb and the acting was terrible. It felt very flat which is sad because this movie is pretty.

Venom I wasn’t sure if I would like this movie and it was good! Tom Hardy is an awesome actor! The movie isn’t dark which is good and the action is great.

Won’t you be my neighbor is about Mister Rogers and I use to watch him as a kid. Great documentary about him and I really didn’t know that much about him. Interesting man.

Ghost in the Shell wasn’t too sure on this one as I know it’s an anime. I never read it but I know a little about it. I actually liked it and the story. Had great actors in it. What I thought was strange that they had Scarlett Johansson who is a great actress but the end her being actually Asian thought it was strange. They should had an Asian actress play her.

Ralph breaks the internet this movie was very funny! The first movie was good but this was great! Jeff even watched this one with me and he didn’t see the first. You don’t really have too. Oh it was so great!

Swiss army man this movie is funny and strange at the same time. At the end I wondered what did you just see?!

Scooby Doo and the gourmet ghost I like Scooby Doo movies but this one was really boring. It also has Bobby Flay in it but still couldn’t make this one good.

Scooby Doo and the 13th ghost terrible movie as well. This has classic tropes in it and it was really boring.

Not a whole lot going on. Snow is finally melting! However it still gets cold at night. So whatever melts turns to puddles then ice. Is it Spring yet?

For adoption nothing going on for us. The adoption agency is now doing background checks. Going to take awhile because of Jeff. Only because he was born in Texas and not Wisconsin. Every time we do background checks this has been the case.

Yesterday was my birthday and I need to talk about it. Last week I made a messenger group inviting the family to breakfast for my birthday. The only person who responded was my sister Chrissy besides I knew my parents where coming.

For thirty five years of my life my parents always ALWAYS pays for birthday meal. First time in ever I turned thirty six and they didn’t. The reason? The reason being is because Corey and his wife came. They claim that they are poor and can’t pay for themselves which is bullshit! Also they never give me anything they are cheapskates. Would have been nice to know they were coming ahead of time because we got to the restaurant first and only put in for who I knew was coming.

No matter what holiday or even birthday all I get from them is a card. Now I grew up you going to someone’s birthday or even any holiday you give them a gift or money. It really isn’t that hard to do even if you don’t know that person very well. We have a store called the Dollar Tree. Where everything is a dollar plus tax. Easy gift, go to store pick out lotion and if you know the person well enough or even best guess they have all kinds. Get gift bag, card and maybe a trinket there done and it can be five dollars or less.

I was mad because they always get what they want and this was MY birthday. I wanted the attention of MY parents and I wanted to talk to them. Didn’t get a chance to because they came. Ugh!

Today is my birthday! I am 36 years old today!

This morning I am going to have breakfast with my parents and Chrissy. I invited my brother and his family but they didn’t respond to me. Oh well missing out on a great breakfast.

Then I have been debating what I want as a treat. So I want Seroogy’s chocolate and Jeff is going to get me some coffee to take home. They have awesome coffee!

Jeff got me a couple of gifts and I got them early. One I wanted he got me a new phone case. The second one that I didn’t know about this skull! It’s awesome!
